If the motherboard has a standard PCI-E X16 slot it'll work.

The card has it's own type of memory. This is one of the better GT 240s, I think there's another one that is slightly better though.

@moopy141 ddr5 is the memory of the gpu. has nothing to do with ur pc ram. it can run to a system with whatever ram memory (ddr1, ddr2, ddr3, sdram)

IT PLAYS EVERYTHING BUT NOT AT MAXED GRAPHICS... it is small so u can put it on a small case tower... no need for psu power... u can o.c it very easy and gain a 15%+ power... and ofcourse u need to have a pci xpress x16 to plug it or sometimes can play even at x4 or x8 (allready tested at old motherboard with x4)

@strikeagle100 its notable though that this sub 100 dollar card can play GTA IV on very high better than a 4670 if youve got a decent processor, and GTA IV is one of the most demanding games out there. You can also max Crysis and Just Cause 2 with no AA, so you can definately play a good amount of games with plenty of eye candy.

We budget builders know how to make do, and get the best bang for the buck ;-)

The Lawsuit was over AMD spinning off it's manufacturing plants to cut cost, and intel whined cause they said it violated the terms to the cross X86 license, but AMD came up with some good dirt on Intel about market bulling to oem's etc.., but all has been settled as of this week according to Ars Technica website.

Actually no, its GT240=9600GSO=8800GS. This is fine with me as putting all the cards in one series simplifies the process of choosing a graphics card.

That's correct, PALiT added 1GB of GDDR5 memory. Most of these current GT 240 video cards only have 512GB or 1GB of DDR3 memory.
