However, if the American companies are trying as hard as you seem to be say they are. Then, they wouldn't be so distinct. The reason is that Americans hold Euroepean cars on a pedestal due to some inferiority complex that says anything European is better. My Euro cars break way more often than my American ones.

@turbokompressored Well I would agree with you ,however, you got your facts WRONG. The gt-2 has a 3.6 L TT engine. The gt-2 price is 245,000 USD compared to 108,000 USD for the ZR1. No matter how you cut it, 138,000 USD price difference for the few second advantage, definitely not worth it. And if you were so worried about bitches, because your a fucken ugly ass mother fucker, the 138k difference would buy you lots of bitches...more than your Porsche would get you.
Also, Corvettes are MUCH more practical than most European supercars, other than maybe porsche. Heck, the Z06 gets 25-26 mpg highway. Ferrari is almost crude how they feel on the regular road, doing normal driving. You cannot argue with Corvette's racing history either. Corvette has been a force in Le Mans for the last 10 years now. They were winning so much that they had to make the rules unfair to Corvette, decreasing intake size and ADDING 200 lbs to the car so their Euro trash could keep up.

There are already a ton of used ZR1s that are being sold used at less than 100K. A decent base C5 can be had for as low as 12K. I'm even thinking about adding a C5 'Vette to the collection, to give the Camaro and Mustang company. Big differences in price.
That's easy to do with a little 2nd gear burnout. My C6 puts down 150hp more than the ZR1, and all you have to do is add a little brake and you can lay down 1 mile of rubber, if your clutch will hold up without boiling.

@GTSTPM Hell if you think about it, our interior is nice as hell for stock, The interior is far from cheap. The interior for this car and the new Camaro is sexy as hell if you ask me. The sound systems are far better than any Lamborghini or Ferrari, they have like 4 simple speakers, while the ZR1 Has the 8 Speaker Bose if i'm not mistaken and the Camaro has the 8 Speaker Boston Acoustics. In my truck I have 2 12" DD's and 6 speaker component from DD and the Camaro sounds better still! Its clear!

There are some good ones. One of my favorite cars I have owned was a 1991 3.1Z24 that I got for $200 and it was worth every penny. I loved that little car. I also like the W41 quad 4 motor when coupled with a 5-speed. 5-speed early 90's gran prixs are cool, it's just too bad they were rare. You made a good point on that 3.8 motor. As time goes on, that JDM riceburner revolution is leaving me more and more. I just wanted to say that manyof the late 90's midsizers got watered down too much.
Yeah, I agree with you there, like my car for instance, I've got a 98 Lumina, The top of the line LTZ's for 98 were pretty quick for a V6 sedan, mine not so much though. It's a great car, reliable as hell. But nothing you want to race in haha. It will beat a same year V6 stang automatic though.
Lumina LTZ at least has some sportiness. I remember driving a friends 1986 FWD T-Type Regal. That thing would actually handle pretty good for what it was. Waaaaay cooler than grandma's delta 88.

@GTSTPM Hell if you think about it, our interior is nice as hell for stock, The interior is far from cheap. The interior for this car and the new Camaro is sexy as hell if you ask me. The sound systems are far better than any Lamborghini or Ferrari, they have like 4 simple speakers, while the ZR1 Has the 8 Speaker Bose if i'm not mistaken and the Camaro has the 8 Speaker Boston Acoustics. In my truck I have 2 12" DD's and 6 speaker component from DD and the Camaro sounds better still! Its clear!

@Kiriuxa Fortunately you won't ever have to make a choice between them anyway. Aren't you forgetting a lot of others, though? You're forgetting cars like the SSC Ultimate Aero (Currently the 2nd fastest production car in the world) Dodge Viper, Ford GT, Shelby GT500KR and Super Snake, Saleen S7, even the C6 Z06 is an incredibly fast car, plus the new Shelby GT350, Cadillac CTS-V.
Oh, and the ZR1 is WAY quicker around the Nurburgring than a GT-R, so quit being a gay little fanboy.

And I know that the GT-R is slower than the ZR1, I'd still choose it. It's just my preference. While you are just narrow-minded, choosing everything that's american. There are some good ones. One of my favorite cars I have owned was a 1991 3.1Z24 that I got for $200 and it was worth every penny. I loved that little car. I also like the W41 quad 4 motor when coupled with a 5-speed. 5-speed early 90's gran prixs are cool, it's just too bad they were rare. You made a good point on that 3.8 motor. As time goes on, that JDM riceburner revolution is leaving me more and more. I just wanted to say that manyof the late 90's midsizers got watered down too much.

Yeah, I agree with you there, like my car for instance, I've got a 98 Lumina, The top of the line LTZ's for 98 were pretty quick for a V6 sedan, mine not so much though. It's a great car, reliable as hell. But nothing you want to race in haha. It will beat a same year V6 stang automatic though.

Lumina LTZ at least has some sportiness. I remember driving a friends 1986 FWD T-Type Regal. That thing would actually handle pretty good for what it was. Waaaaay cooler than grandma's delta 88.

They're American-made, but they'll still run with some supercars like Aston Martins & Porsches, so unless your import has some type of huge gas-guzzlin' monster of a engine, it ain't gonna happen :)
