@skaterpenguin1 agreed. SGU doesn't need to be identical replica designs of the previous. To be honest it's sort of a relief that it's not identical to the other two -they needed a change. The storyline + the dynamic between the characters is fantastic. Unlike the other two, SGU doesn't have the luxury to fall back on mama earth base when in trouble.

This new Stargate is terrible! I don't like how it has a Battlestar Galactica feel. There was nothing wrong with SG1 or Atlantis and the actors & characters were far more interesting. What they need to do now is BURN the scripts for the whole show and re-write them in a more inspiring direction b4 they get canceled! I had high hopes for this series, but it is seriously lacking in the cool factor department. I dont think having a self depricating nerdboy as one of the main characters is helping it either. And where is the cool alien badass, ala Teal'c or Ronin.
If it was upto me I would of put a Tokra as the next token alien guy. Man that would of rocked with the menacing eyes and changed voice. I hope they pickup an alien guy or gal along the way to fill this void in the series, so far pretty uneventful.
is that really too much to expect? atlantis and sg1 both had aliens within the first 2 episodes. When they flew by the sun and through the gas giant was pretty cool but it is a slow start. Well, actually no. But SGA and SG1 had other plots. In SGU it's about discovering and surviving on the Destiny. But I don't disagree with you. 1. Pretty much all characters suck. The only one I like is the military guy with the leg injuyry(The scientist is okay, too, but he isn't that great). In SG1 and SGU I liked every character, doesn't matter if they were human, Goauld, Wraith etc.
You also get to know SGU Chars more than necessary.. I don't wanna date them, lol.

They will have an extremely powerful enemy, the scriptwriters said that they will be at least 5x worst than the Ori and Wraith. They also stated there will be more ship/space battles. Much better ones aswell.

There are going to be Aliens in SGU, a plant on another planet is an alien organism, therefor an alien. In SG1 and SGA, there where alien in it, like in the SG1 ep Grace. There are going to be aliens in SGU, dont believe the makers cus why would they reveal something that big.
Well, there might not be much life, you gotta realise they are MUCH further out than even atlantis is, the ancients are responsible for filling life in our region, but they are way out beyond that. The chance in them finding other life in SGU are very minimal, unless it's natural, but they won;t look like us, and if they do, the show is unrealistic as we are one of a kind.

this just made me realise that during the series, earth power over the galaxies have increased alot, and earth is now a major player both in the pagasus galaxy and in the milky way, although its not a traditional major empire, its political connections and alliances makes it a very powerfull player, that and the monopoly from the left overs from most of the ancients and asgard tecnology, 2 bad earth didnt had a change to gain a hold in the ori galaxy

is that really too much to expect? atlantis and sg1 both had aliens within the first 2 episodes. When they flew by the sun and through the gas giant was pretty cool but it is a slow start. And the characters suck. yeah pretty much all of them. At least the last 2 series had likable characters, Colonel Oneill, John Sheppard, Mkay, Teal'c, Ronon, Bishop, Carter, Weir, Hammond. seriously which character do you like eli and who?

Well, actually no. But SGA and SG1 had other plots. In SGU it's about discovering and surviving on the Destiny. But I don't disagree with you. 1. Pretty much all characters suck. The only one I like is the military guy with the leg injuyry(The scientist is okay, too, but he isn't that great). In SG1 and SGU I liked every character, doesn't matter if they were human, Goauld, Wraith etc.
You also get to know SGU Chars more than necessary.. I don't wanna date them, lol.

@skaterpenguin1 ok so I have still have been watching it in hopes that it would get better and no. It still sucks and I won't be watching it next season. If you really like this show I have some other shows you might like: young and the restless, as the world turns, or days of our lives.

They will have an extremely powerful enemy, the scriptwriters said that they will be at least 5x worst than the Ori and Wraith. They also stated there will be more ship/space battles. Much better ones aswell.

half way thru I kidna stoped paying atention to it since there wasnt ANYTHING going on. At least not in the intresting way. Im hoping for a change that would fix that but since there wount be no aliens its most probebly gona end in a very boring way

There are going to be Aliens in SGU, a plant on another planet is an alien organism, therefor an alien. In SG1 and SGA, there where alien in it, like in the SG1 ep Grace. There are going to be aliens in SGU, dont believe the makers cus why would they reveal something that big.

Well, there might not be much life, you gotta realise they are MUCH further out than even atlantis is, the ancients are responsible for filling life in our region, but they are way out beyond that. The chance in them finding other life in SGU are very minimal, unless it's natural, but they won;t look like us, and if they do, the show is unrealistic as we are one of a kind.

this just made me realise that during the series, earth power over the galaxies have increased alot, and earth is now a major player both in the pagasus galaxy and in the milky way, although its not a traditional major empire, its political connections and alliances makes it a very powerfull player, that and the monopoly from the left overs from most of the ancients and asgard tecnology, 2 bad earth didnt had a change to gain a hold in the ori galaxy

Those are maybe the SG ships but they are not from series, but as part of some mod to a game... Maybe X3, maybe Sins of Solar Empire or anything just like that... But I have to say that these are made good

i think u will be dissapointed by SG.U then, there will be very little use of the gate in that, theres going to be much more character focus, and them tryin to survive on a 10.000 year old ancient ship.
