Perhaps, but the worst costume was certainly Adam West. Sure, he set the bar for what Batman was supposed to be, but if you think about it, he is far more open and public than any of the modern batmen are. In fact, he isn't half as dark as the average batman, you know?

But as I said, the suit (which looks like a grey t-shirt and a cape) doesn't hold up to the usual "muscle armour" the batman nowadays wears.

@Savemefromhelen Adam West represented Batman at the time. You have the Eighties to thank for our more modern interpretation of Batman. DKR, Year One, The Killing Joke, Death in the Family etc. all happened in the eighties. And of course we cannot forget Tim Burton's Batman from 1989.

Nolan said it himself that he was inspired by the old cartoons, and used a lot of the good shots in the movie. Just watch episode 7 of the 2nd season, it is almost identical to the part in TDK when Joker is shooting at batman on his bike
