Chicago , your an inspiration , listening to your songs ,has so much meaning , you guys really need to get it together and show the world how its really done , in my eyes your amongst the greatest , ie , elvis , bob marley , ben e king , ray charles , but to name a few , tcb x
I love this song from Peter Cetera because it give a felling of a women who close to me.And want decade it to my real best friend Heather Kathrens where she Cameroon Yaounde Africa.
when you find love...hold it dearly. Don't let it go, fight for it, I believed you should give up only if your partner does not love you back or she or he is dead other then that ,,,everything should be easy to talk it out... we are not meant to be alone and loosing someone over stupidity it is a shame....... WELL ,I'M NOT DEAD.
I get to see him tonight (7/22/54). Looking forward to it. Saw him in Chicago twice in the 70s. Have seen Chicago several times since he left, it took a little getting used to without him.
The name "Peter" comes from the Greek work "Pietra" which means "Rock". Peter Cetera has really been a ROCK in so many other lives. God Bless his music!
his voice hasn't change too much..at least he is not like other artist that don't take care of them, and 20..25 years later their voices sounds terrible..i admire him for that...Bravo Peter Cetera, great gentleman!!
I saw CHICAGO when I was in college. When the brass section went beserk so did the audience. My heart was won. Peter Cetera rules! One down note, the end should be the way they did it in the 1970's. Abrupt.and breathless ~ Janet Thompson Deaver
Been a while since i didn't listen this song ...but today i find it just as good as i remember it . That's why some songs become hits...time can't fade them .Bravo Peter .
Peter Cetera sang lead on many incredible songs, both solo (After All w/Cher) and this gem, with Chicago. My sister has Chicago's Greatest Hits 1982-1989 CD, and my dad has Chicago's 19 album on cassette somewhere, both of which feature this unforgettable song. Another great Chicago song is "You're The Inspiration," which is one of the greatest ballads of all time, along with this gem. I sure wish Peter Cetera would go back to Chicago, and make more songs like this one. Please go home Peter!
I sang this in my school concert...someone said to me; 'What ype of 12 year old likes old songs like this?' I said; 'Those were the years when there was proper music...all the stuff nowadays is rubbish' Oh, BTW, I'm not a big fan of the Westlife version...?!
Keith Howland is an awesome guitar player but he wasn't on the original Chicago version of this song. Chicago still does a damn great job with this song, especially when it turns into the jam session "get away," but Peter and David Foster did a great job with this orchestral arrangement too.
cetera sing it then chicgo done a verison then it was azyet im not sure who eles did a version in the 90's then west life did the best version of their own ok im not sure about the copy right of the song if you down lowed for yourself look for az yet veersion and you find it
Chicago sung it first. They wrote it. And Peter sung it first when he was with them. Weslife murdered it. I dont even wanna mention them in the same breath.Their shit.Always have been shit, always will be shit. This version is nice, and its also a key down from the original version.Peters voice has probably lowered a bit (hes now 63) and he may not be able to hit the really high notes anymore. His voice is unique and could soar.
@philster61 Actually Peter wrote it. He can still hit the high notes. I hung out with him, his band, and poll sound out of Salt Lake this weekend as we produced a show with him in Logan, it was great. This video just had bad sound quality.
why Vetera is no more in the band...they need him, but Jason is good too, but I think that he´s going the classical way, with orchester and these thinkgs, but Keiths solo would be cool in this version^^

The Get Away part at the end on this was pathetic! Those people can't hang with Pankow, Parazader, and Loghnane of Chicago.
