You are confusing Catholic mythology with the Biblical record. Metatron isn't mentioned in the bible, however, it is clear in many occult and new age teachings (see metatron's cube) that Lucifer, Metatron, the angel of light and Baphomet and many others are referring to the same being. i.e. Satan.

I'm an atheist too, and I love this movie. Being an atheist allows you to see the fun and tragic side of religion. And even though Kevin Smith is catholic he portrays the humorous side of religion better than anything I've seen.
