How did DBZ Kai suck? I mean yeah the music wasn't very good and it will never actually be finished on account of being canceled, but the dub is a hell of a lot better than the old one.

@Friecelbu Well you already described a few reasons why I don't like DBZ Kai but I'll add 2 more.

1: The new voice actors have less emotional impact in DBZ Kai, aka they sound drab. Look at the voice actor Frieza(Chris Ayres); his character doesn't sound creepy at all compared to the old voice(Linda Chambers-Young).

2: The filler edit is something most people don't mind, but I do. Alot of the filler was about character development instead of fighting. See why no one cares?

Ok, your number 1 is entirely up to opinion. And as for number 2, there was no character development in the filler. Any time they TRIED to add development it would either contradict the original character, or just become completely irrelavent and forgotten. Also, did you really like ALL the filler? Like the staredowns that lasted literally half the episode, or the STUPID fake-namek and Garlic Jr. arcs?

Geez what's your problem? I just said that yes they did include character development, BUT it almost always went in no direction, or contradicted things that happened later in the story. Also, everyone in Kai (the exception of Gohan) is leagues better than the original cast, you're just too ignorant and blinded by nostalgia to see it. If you are honestly telling me that Linda Young was a better Freeza than Chris Ayres, then you obviously have no clue just what Freeza's character was.

I have the entire DBZ DVD series and have watched it multiple times, along with a majority of DBZ Kai. So please don't tell me that I don't know the characters of my favorite anime series. If you think DBZ Kai is good then cheers to you, but I don't. Plain and simple.

@BitSlash i think in certain areas they cleaned up the script in kai but i also think they left out some things that were real cool... all in all i perfer the work of akira but the funimation dub is my fav... the kai dub just lacks epic music at some times the orcestral score is fitting but at other times it really doesnt belong in the scenes... it kills the mood how some music doesnt go with it at all. Kai is great the voice acting is better at times but I love DBZ-funimation style alot more.

@MasSergioVEVO I'm glad to see that you have less of a biases opinion than that other guy. Honestly DBZ Kai isn't horrible, but I will say it lacks what FUNi's 1st dub had. The only thing it has going for it is that it has more of a modern touch to it, which isn't a big deal to me.

I have the whole series as the Seasons 1-9 DVD set, so I don't need to buy them again just because they are available for BLU-ray in a slightly better resolution since the voice actors and music don't move me at all.

@BitSlash i like watching kai in youtube videos where the music audio was removed and the funimations music was replaced makes it real nice. you should watch dbz goku goes ssj kai with faulconer music in it. It's epic... better than the original in that scene w/ funi music of course.. but thats abt all there alot of scenes in kai where the reverse is true.. like Trunks vs andriods "if they set that andriod free it will b the end of us all NOOOOOOOOOO!" kai fucked that up :p
