Weekends. Evenings. I was around 10 when I discovered this exciting, non-stop action show. I even sat thru the commercials so I wouldn't miss anything. Now I'm wondering why NO ONE has taken the time to make this classic into a theatrical movie? Yet, producers jumped at Scooby Doo, Josie and the Pussycats, and Underdog. Really? Underdog? How psychotic. Well, what do you guys think of Justin Biebar playing the part of Johnny?

As a 55 yr old... I just love to re-watch this! A kids cartoon with REAL guns and things that actually got shot, unlike the 80's GI Joe, where "Cobra" always shot at the ground around GI Joe!!

I totally agree with the earlier comment here that referred to Jonny Quest as "timeless." I watched it as a kid and now many, many years later as an adult. It still holds up. Well written, nicely animated, overall, a solid TV series. Easily one of the best of Hanna Barbera's many cartoon shows. I would love to see it translated into a live action movie...but given Hollywood's horrible track record (i.e the Yogi, Transformer, GI Joe, Alvin movies) may be not...

This appears to be the first version of the intro, as we see "A HANNA-BARBERA PRODUCTION" followed by "Starring JONNY QUEST." Later on, the H-B reference is dropped as well as the "Starring" above Jonny's name.

One of the few cartoons that can be PROVED to be timeless. Look at the comments;kids adored it in the 60's. They ran home to watch it in the 70's. It was their favorite cartoon in the 80's. They stayed up late to watch on reruns in the 90's, and they made their parents get premium channels just so they could see it in the 00's. Now, 45 years later, a whole new generation is here on youtube saying, yet again, that this the coolest cartoon...ever.

Cartoon writers then didnt dumb-down the kids of that era. Im glad i was a kid during those golden years. Computerized cartoons of today? The Venture Bros are cool, but the original Jonny is much better. Here, you'll find violence, giant invisible and scary monsters, robot spiders, Dr. Zin threatening lifes, "KILL TURU, KILL!", villains dying each week, people blowing up, tell me sincerely, what cartoon show of today offers you that?

My all time favorite when I was a kid. Beating out Walt Disney AND Superman!!! I loved the theme song and the adventures! (Both things seemed within our future grasp then..!) Shaped my adult life as I dig jazz and have traveled all over the world. Thanks Jonny!

@Gmancrap I know what you mean about VB,it's supposed to be a parody/satire of Quest,but it's done in such sick/poor taste I just couldn't watch it anymore after the first two seasons. They even had Race Bannon in an episode once even,but they spoofed him up just as bad. Anyways,QUEST RULES! No satire comes close.

@SuliemanTheGreat IIRC the episode was, "The Fraudulent Volcano." The Quest Team discover that a volcano's cinder cone is inhabited by high-tech bad guys who use the type of flying platform shown.
