Wow. Thank you so much for directing me to this song from the other 'thread.' Very powerful. Her playing is phenomenal; her voice, amazing. When we went to the Keith Green Memorial Concert, she had played so hard in practicing beforehand that a piano string broke and flew across the stage! We heard her in concert several years ago. She sang "There is a Stirring." It's one of my favorites of hers. When she sang it God told me that my husband's mom would see Jesus soon. She died a month later.
@MRSPJK I'm kind of a guy where not to much moves me, but this song 'Receive', Keith Green's 'The Prodigal Son Suite' & Mathew Ward's 'Psalm 61' still gives me shivers - even after 30+ years.
Phil Keaggy also toured with Annie, Nellie & Mathew (2nd Chapoter of Acts) in 77 when they recorded their great How 'The West Was One' album (a few of Phil's songs are on that album). Phil's My Life (Testimony) song gives me shivers every time also
Thank you so much Micheal, I listen to the songs and love them so much. GOd is soo goood! Merry Christmas to you and yours, be blazingly blest!!!! You heard it here first, LOL.
Thank you so much Michael!! I am inspired!!! Fabulous words to this song and Anne has a beautiful voice too. I will learn to sing this song and more!!! Barb

Do you know the name of the snippet of song at end?
@pbsandcspanwatchit Hi Connie. Not sure where one can find the lyrics to this song (but I'd bet it's somewhere one the web - if we search long enough). This song has been one of my favorites for many years now (too many years to remember). Glad you found it inspiring also. Blessings! (I have another song posted here on my channel you might like also - it's called The Son Comes Over The Hill.)
@pbsandcspanwatchit The snippet at the end of this video is sung by Matthew Ward (Annie Herring's younger brother) it's called Psalm 61. Annie Herring, her sister Nellie & her brother Matthew were in a singing group in the 70's & 80's called The Second Chapter of Acts. They still sing together occasionally & sometimes alone. A very talented family who love The Lord. I have a video of that song )Psalm 61) posted on my channel called Praising Yahweh. ...Michael
@SilverCollector Oops, Sorry Connie - I gave you the wrong info on the snippet on the end of this video. (Although, the vid I sent you to was from Mathew Ward, but it wasn't Psalm 61. Can't post URL's here in comments, so please do a Ytube search for Matthew Ward Psalm 61. I have a video posted of that song, but I can't locate right now - too many video posted. ...Michael
@vwchrash In1978 I first heard this song (live in concert in Syracuse NY) & it still gives me goosebumps - Praise YHWH! Annie Herring has a wonderful gift & she uses it for her Lord. If your not familiar with her singing with her brother (Matthew) & her sister (Nellie) "The Second Chapter Of Acts" please checkout their wonderful CD "How The West Was One" - many of the songs are here on Ytube - including this one that I posted /watch?v=wAm4RHrmEK0
@peacelovemusicdude This is the only version I'm aware of. Their album "How The West Was One" has many songs on it that are sooo wonderful - and every song on it is a live recording.
I feel this song is wonderful & I'm glad you like it also.
