I don't really understand the dislike for Kai. Sure, I kind of miss Bruce Faulconer's music and some of the voice cast, but I don't miss the filler at all. It always destroyed the pace of the show for me when they'd interrupt the fights to show what the minor characters where doing. I've worn out the fast forward button on my remote skipping through all that crap watching the DVDs.

but they still have that. they still kill the pace to show bulma bitching about nothing all the time. they also have plenty of prolonged yelling and charging scenes. Mostly they just put the good stuff on fast forward and cut out all of our favorite epic lines. Between that and lack of Faulconer it just sucks.

@NoTrueFace1 I'll admit that I haven't watched Kai beyond the Frieza saga, so I don't really know how they've treated Androids/Cell (my favorite arc in the series). That said, I thought Kai trimmed a lot of unnecessary fat off the Namek/Frieza part of the story, which was way too bloated in Z (at least in my opinion). I can see where you're coming from, but I think we're getting into flaws in the original story at this point, and not necessarily filler added to pad out an episode.

Overall I like the Frieza Saga and Buu Saga more....the Cell saga had the 2 most intense battles....

Other fights might in the saga might of had more drama and cooler power ups and stuff, but these two contained just tons of amazing hand to hand combat on the camera

I loved the Cell saga. Feel free to argue this will me but i thought that it had more drama to it than any other saga. It had so many twists you honesty did know where it was going and the characters really developed most here, not that they didn't in the other sagas but not like this one.

@MadameTamma That's why I honestly don't mind if they end Kai with the Cell Games. I felt like it was the point where Gohan had finally met the potential that everyone had seen in him throughout the series up to then. To me, this "passing of the torch" from father to son made for a very touching ending. Much as I like the Buu stuff, it tossed this sentiment to the wayside, which I found very unfortunate.

@taterboob That is true but as much as there was drama in the Cell saga I thought the Buu saga was the scariest. Not the "Can't sleep at night" kind of scary, it was the "momentary suspenseful" kind. I was leaning forward in my seat, couldn't look away from it. That's what made Buu the most terrifying of all villains. He killed the most people and he did it in the most suspenseful and horrible ways.

Then again maybe that's why it ISN'T a good idea to continue with that saga.
