  • Great vid with some interesting viewpoints! The outtakes were funny too. Most of mine were of me staring off into space thinking "what was I trying to say??"

  • LOL i loved the outakes!!

  • Great video! I thought you explained everything very well....by the way, I loved the outtakes at the end! :o)

  • Hmm... rather than forcing a die out of tradition, I'd suggest being respectful to other people's traditions and just create your own where it comes to the priesthood.

As for the Intelligence VS Wisdom... Intelligence is the book learning as you said, the ability to absorb and understand what you read. Experience is putting that learning into action. Wisdom is the combination of the Intelligence and experience culminating into knowing WHEN to apply that knowledge.

  • @Amber2hawk I certainly didn't sense any disrespect here, personally. I think he was just making a point that many practitioners these days are practicing on their own, and those who practice in covens practice much differently than they did in the 1950s. I think it's great that people who all watch the same videos are able to read them differently and interpret what is said differently. That's what makes this channel what it is. :D

  • @charliesaysgo No, I'm sure it wasn't meant that way. I think its just forgotten that traditions are set up for a reason and to change them without understanding them can be very disrespectful to those that still keep the old ways going.

  • I also wouldn't say that all the covens of today practice differently, just those covens that were started by those not originally initiated into and practiced for some time with specific traditions are practicing differently. I'm all for differences, I just don't see the sense in making something THAT different and keeping the name. It makes us dangerously close to what Christians did to their own religion.

  • @Amber2hawk Are you talking about the word "Wiccan" or the word "Pagan?" Because Pagan is so broad, it's unfair to have one sect claim it as their own. But I guess I could see where you're coming from if you're talking about Wicca, but I don't personally claim that title specifically because some of those traditions just don't call to me.

  • @charliesaysgo I'm talking about Wicca, yes. I consider myself an eclectic Pagan Spiritualist because I have no intention to diddle with Wicca as it was. If it doesn't appeal to me it isn't up to be to change it. It is up to me to find another tradition or make my own. I am perfectly happy making my own and not stealing a name for it.

  • @Amber2hawk I understand where you're coming from. But you should also know: Pat does not consider himself Wiccan. :)

  • @charliesaysgo That doesn't excuse the dismissive attutude for how a priesthood is meant to work.

  • Some of the greatest leaders are the ones who deny their ability to lead based on the fact that you do not think you are up to par! Great video my friend. Keep em' coming!

  • Great video, I love the outtakes at the end. lol I look forward to hearing more from you!!

    Peace be with you,

  • I don't like the terms myself. I think Priesthoods are a way for groups to charge money for classes. I don't like this. Spirituality should be free. Maybe an apprenticeship or mentorship with a wise elder could be good. You did a fine job, too.

  • Great video! I love your point of view! It was very thoughtful. :)

  • And you're a liar. You explain things quite well, if I might say so. :)

  • Hahaha, you goon. You're so excited in the beginning. And I see your hair cut!!

  • WELCOME! WELCOME! WELCOME! A wonderful first video for the PaganPerspective. ~Anni~

  • @MIRTHandREVERENCE Thanks so much Anni!
