@MajorMatthias Yes. Mainly because it is devoid of the sincerity and emotion of the original. There is no emotional depth in this cover, just like the majority of the covers of this song. The only half decent cover I've heard is Christy Moore's and thats just because he totally reinterpreted it.

Also the mispronunciation of the word 'Galway' in the chorus is cringeworthy, especially to someone like me who actually grew up in Galway.
