ive only seen half of this movie through HBO, and i loved the hell outta it. this was definitly eddie's oscar winning performance. that is, until Norbit came. oh well, i hope the richard pryor biopic finally gets him the oscar

Jennisfer should of had more praise, it was all about beyonce. She did a good job though.

the only thing that ruined this movie, was that not only did Hudson have to sing back up she practically was put on the back burner.

Her character had no room to grow. cuz they used the second half of the move to be flooded with Beonce fan service. It rebounded when Hudson took back the lead.

I find beonce's part a bit excissive but her role and acting was much appreciated.

What made the movie so great was the way the Actors resembled the characters portrayed.

the funniest things about this movie in relation to the oscars: J Hudson WON Best Supporting Actress; Eddie LOST the Supporting Actor (blame it on Norbit LOL), and none of the three nominated songs won for best song...something from inconvenient truth won it LOL

I dunno, at the beginning of the movie, I hated Jennifer Hudson's character. She thought was better than everyone and got all pissed off when J Foxx told her ass to sing backup. Then during the second part of the movie that's when you feel sorry for her after you see what she's become...but this was a great movie...

This movie was good, I admit I have seen it more then once.

However, I really think there was way too much musical in it to become involved in the story-line. Everytime something big happened they would start singing and you couldn't help but wish they would just read the script. That was my problem with it.
