  • Ive always found when its played on the radio they miss off the spoken words at the end, shame as its a massive part of the song.

It was great to hear it again always was my favourite Dollar song, also blows me away that David and Thereza can still perform this live years later and sound so much like the studio version.

Not many bands of today will be doing that in 30 years, great stuff David and Thereza i enjoyed it :)

  • Superb track! Super group! I love Dollar!

  • david van day runs a moble burger bar in brighton he also joined bucks fizz touring with cheral baker n co hates him 4 sum reason he no longer part of buck fizz

  • @Littlealan1959 Cheryl was not with Bucks Fizz when David van Day joined, Bobby G was looking for another member when Mike Nolan first left after so many years so Bobby met David but he did not want to conform with the way the band was working, he then decided to call Mike Nolan and set up a Rival Bucks Fizz but Mike left when he found out that he wanted to own the Bucks Fizz trademark, Mike was not happy and rang Bobby who then took him to court so he was not allowed to perform under that name

  • They should have kept the camera on the chick playing the harp!

  • hahaha this makes me laugh :-)

  • nice nice nice i love it!

  • When the kids of today look back on their music in 30 years time will it spark any emotion inside like it does watching this video?

  • @the0fart0machine you are so right! This song and others of the same era give me goose bumps and so many awesome memories just from playing them.

  • @apa37 Thanks for your comment. I don't listen much to music of today's tastes. But the songs from the past make up the void of today.

  • Frighteningly bad!! I agree with Mr Birdy though, the harp would definately get nobbed!!!

  • Love Dollar but can't stand DVD. Having said that, this is a great performance. Wonderful song

  • the funny thing was on the night this really was one of the highlights-i wasn't a dollar fan & didn't expect to be swept away by them-considering some of the more prestigious acts on the bill..but somehow it was just incredible; dollar were so obviously pleased to be there you couldn't help but be charmed by such a spellbindingly beautiful song & performance.

  • I'd knob that harpist!!!

  • mee too : )

  • me too : )

  • i love these song

  • Agree with stuey..total wally in the jungle but still can sing...Luv it.

  • This was all tacky shit when i was a kid, you don't realise until you get older how good you had to be to even get a decent chart postion. Unlike today sell 5 downloads and your No1

  • theressa is simply gorgeous - oh and the girl on the harp is stunningly attractive also

  • theressa is simply gorgeous - oh and the girl on the harp is stunningly attractive also

  • its a classic trever horn brill

  • There is a 90's version of this song, sung by a Robin Wright (actress?)

  • This is almost the full length original; the ending was cut short for the single which was a shame as it's brilliant, I bought the single all them years ago, loved it then and still love it now

  • Meoow Creepmag!

  • got tears in my eyes, it is a lovely song no matter who slates it. happy memories :)

  • Was Van Day wearing tarcksuit bottoms?

  • @MrBirdy7 ha, probably to accomodate his burgeoning waistline, no thats mean!!

    they werent bad actually .

  • class act

  • WOW that brought back some great memories.

  • something for the unaware: Prince's Trust has nothing to do with the moron Prince Nelson aka The Artist Formerly Known As Prudent but only with the Royal Family! :P Since the former did this action against YT, he's on my blacklist!

  • Sounds great! So few few of these are on in stereo. Trevor Horn is such a master of production - this has been done so well.

  • Always loved this song , and thanks for putting it up in STEREO Sodapops

  • Theresa is prettier than Nicola even for her age.

  • k give me back mt heart. E

  • Great song, ta for uploading

  • Lame.

  • So good to see that they can sing live :) I must admit after Celeb, I've got quite a crush on DVD lol

  • OMG so have i!

  • Think she still looks great......

  • NOt bad. Therese hasn't aged well, has she?

  • No she looks a bit like Blanche Hunt from Coronation Street.

  • My ass she hasnt you blind git!

  • There's your real POP stars Mate !

  • This is one of the greatest pop songs ever. Trevor Horn did the best ones and still fresh 3 decades on. David can really sing!

Thank you Mr Horn, David & Thereza.

  • what a pair of pop tarts-love it! used to love seeing them on totps-those were the days-bucks fizz, buggles, culture club, duran: bloody wonderful. Bring back pop stars!

  • what a superb performance, thanks for sharing it

  • Avaiable on DVD called " Slaves to the rythm".

  • great performance but what is the lyric the trevor horn signs just before the acapella t the end i've looked lyrics for the song and cant find wha he sings

  • It's wonderful to see these guys are still around! They look so great too. What a show it must have been. I just bought Dollars greatest hits on the strength of this clip-I have to re-live those 80's full blast!

  • What a line up, great song great times back then...

  • Lol trevor horn in back stage

  • no one and i mean NO ONE! can today match the raw emotion or feel good of this song. old? play it to your wife, remind her of how it used to be. Young? use it as a loving appology or an anthem for the future, and good luck.

  • I'm still in love with Thereza. The definition of beauty. XXX

  • Yeah. Hot as hot can ... at THIS AGE ! It's incredible what magic modern surgeons can do. Errr...just kidding. Obviously.

  • omg david is ace he,s mint^^

  • Thereza looks better now than she ever did !

  • By the silver beard of Zeus! I would still give Theresa one! A petit and tender goddess!

  • David gave her more than one , he gave her a lot but that was ages ago :-)

  • mmmnn....reminds me of those days incollege...

  • There's a cover(?) of this song by Robin Wright (actress?) in the late 80's or early 90's..

  • Trevor is the white jacket guy playing the bass.

  • Trevor is they white jacket guy playing bass.

  • that can't be trevor horn of the buggles and of yes fame. the voice and the look couldnt be him?????IF IT IS OMG!!

  • Yes, that is Trevor Horn. The reason why he sound different here is because when he produced "Video Killed the Radio Star", it was a studio production. So on live performances, he might have been lip sicing.

But it is only in 2004 where you can reconize his voice and see the similarities with this vid.

  • Dollar - Short Interview From Trevor Horn DVD

(CHECK THAT YOU TUBE VIDEO AND YOU WILL SEE THAT THIS IS NOT TREVOR HORN SINGING! IT IS DAVID VAN DAY WHO IS IN THE GROUP DOLLAR. THE VIDEO I MENTIONED SHOWS TREVOR HORN WITH HIS BIG BUGGLES GLASSES AS HE PRODUCED THEM. I HAD A FEELING THIS COULDNT BE TREVOR HORN SINGING AS HE LOOKS NOTHING LIKE HIM. GLAD I COULD CLEAR THAT UP FOR YOU ALL.

  • Great vid, thankyou! It shows the difference between the "cheesy" pop of today and the 80's. The pop of the 80's was full of entrepeneurs and geniuses like Trevor horn and Nile rodgers. The "pop" of today all sounds the same, gives you a pain in your head. Most of todays producers are boring untalented lazy and digital. Please please let another Trevor horn come back into the music business

  • The "pain in your head" also comes from the extremely hot mastering those 2000+ pieces are "provided" with. If you listen to overcompressed music for 1 hour, your head will be in a daze. Unless you're used to that as younger people are, because they must have this overcompressed "music" to have the feeling "it sounds good". That's because they don't know any other.

  • great video thanks dollar!nice song

  • That's Thereze !

  • Great, just great.

    I miss music in 80s...

  • A noble effort.

  • This vid is great.... Dollar were fab in the 80's.
