A very rare exception. The record of the Japanese generally in relation to both civilians and prisoners of war was absolutely barbaric. i dont doubt that some japanese showed some sort of kindness (of a sort) to their prisoners. but, most of them, were brutal torturers and murderers. they dishonoured bushido and i hope they live this dishonour through their families forever. nippon should bow to the persons they murdered during ww2
