  • 0:10 Classic Bill Lawry commentry

  • You've just got to love Aussies. They are the most warm, friendly and unassuming people on earth. and what a modern and beautiful country they have made, out of a fairly desolate island. plus, they are the best in the world at cricket! my favourite sport. I'm from England btw.

  • fatty vautin haha

  • Tell you what, that NZ guys catch was pretty good too (think it was Sinclair). Haydos smashed that.

  • ojlindsay

nar it says on his back nathen!

  • at 1:23

am i wrong or does that fat dude look like shane watson?

  • Fatty had that catch before he dived. Made it look more spectacular than it was. I can't believe it's been 18 years since that match. A tribute to a former Australian captain who was a second-rate human being, but anyway. Captain Grumpy was a great cricketer though.

  • that's not the same thing

  • not all of them are australian catches

  • @Brodire2012 but they were in Australia

  • haha fatty vautin

  • the best part was bill lawry's commentary.what a legend.

  • i dont think Australians watch as much cricket as indians do

  • @Iamorton well we don't watch it as much since most Cricket matches are shown only on pay-tv

  • i like this one the best 0:40

  • *mcgrath takes orgasmic catch*

Chappell: "oh what a very good catch"...

    thats it? terrible commentry

  • I replayed Dale's catch simply because of the awesome commentary

  • @TheRooster94 Haha!! Whaooooo!! Haha Bill Lawry at his best!!

  • Nice compilation this one. Well done!

    "Fatty Vaughtin!! You orrsey bastard!"

  • lol @ fatty

  • is that fatty?

  • @ttr15 yeah it was the Allan Border Testimonial.

  • Those were the days, domestic cricket on free to air TV

  • fatty sux balls and cocks

  • haha Fatty, legend in two sports.

  • dale at 0:14 could have easily dislocated his shoulder..that was near identical to the way alderman did his..

  • that was on the cricket show

  • Wait a minute, i thought i saw an Indian take one catch.Maybe this video does not show only Australian catches

  • Adam Dales is the best catch I've ever seen. Paul Collingwood's is probably the closest rival.

Not to swim against the tide too much, but I've never seen the fuss over Dyson's catch. It was a good catch but I don't think it was that great (relative to some of the other amazing catches that have been taken at international level).

  • Boonie wants a beer

  • I think Dyson's catch is the 2nd best catch ive seen behind Adam Dales

  • I'd have to s\y Fatty's is the most impressive, all the other guys will have spent countless hours doing fielding drills and so they should be expected to make the odd classic stick. Fatty was trained to catch a 30cm ball thrown from no more than about 20-25 metres. I hate the guy but what a ripper catch.

  • @sonofthedestroyer yes that's what I think to still confused about that catch watched it so many times

  • 0:29 seconds is not a catch but a six. The fielder touches the boundary board

  • @sonofthedestroyer the rules where different then till now. like back then you could stand on the boundary and lean over it to take a catch as long as you had your feet grounded within the boundary then it was deemed a fair catch.

  • For me, I would say Dyson's 1st, Fatty's 2nd, and Dale's 3rd. I always think the ones that are coming over your head as you run away from the ball are the hardest.

  • i said it the first time i saw it and years later i still believe adam dales catch (the second one in the maroon jumper) is the best catch of ever.

  • all good catches, but the second one was absolutely stunning...that has to be the absolute best catch ever...tell me if you find a better one

  • funny hearing the contrast in commentary between the first two. Geez Chappell is a boring mutha fucka

  • @pdiddymob Haha, Bill would've blown his load over the McGrath catch.

  • hopefully some indians see this vid an see that we also show ourselves getting out

if they had a vid like this, it would be all indian catches

  • could not agree with you any more... an awesome cricket moment back at the time when australian players actually played domestic cricket, 9 covered it, and bill commentated it with the other boys.

  • are these ALL aussies?

  • With names like Dipak Patel?

  • @Eddersz good point lol

  • Oh man. !! Great video. Feel free to stop by my channel and watch my videos.

  • I still can't believe Sinclair got that.

  • All the catches were excellant

  • HAHAHAHA FATTY!!!!

Great compilation, all unbelievable catches. Plus the video title doesn't over hype it like all the indian ones.

  • great catches. lol vautin u lucky bastard

  • haha, i saw the last one and i thought "that guy looks familiar... Wait a minute... THATS THE FAT!!!"

  • Brilliant compilation. Great stuff. Dale and Sinclair's were just insane.

  • adam dale's catch was dubbed by inside cricket as the catch of the century and fair enough. he rooted his shoulder doing it and was never the same bowler ever after.

  • i wouldn't say that - he played a fair bit of one day cricket for Australia afterwards (including the World Cup)

He bowled like McGrath, but was a foot shorter.

  • Adam Dale catch of the millenium...unbelievable

  • the one by adam dale is the best one in my opinion

  • gillys biggest fan has a picture of tiger woods as his photo??

  • pigeon's is the greatest catch of all time

  • ROFL "Vautin's a legend!!!" LOL Greigy...

  • second one is fucking legendery

  • great catches...though not sure why you added Jadejas catch at 0.57...but fantastic fun

  • Fatty Vautin, what a classic. Great vid, well done.

  • Nice catches. auzzies ftw

    Joel Tinker sux

  • wow gun catchers

  • Catches don't matter too much if you can't bat!!!! Come on England!!!! Yeah :)

  • damn u go aussies

  • that last catch was a beauty...they say it's a fluke but anytime a fielder runs back and extends his arms in such fine judgment and holds a catch it can never be a fluke.

A FLUKE WOULD BE IF I STAND AT STILL NEVER MOVE AND THE BALL LANDS IN MY POCKET

  • its a fluke cause he's not a profesional cricket player.

He was an Australian Rugby League player in a chairty match lol

  • i'm not a professional rugby player but i can take a rugby catch. I'm sure he would have played some grade or schools cricket when he was a youngster in Australia.

  • yeah, but its PAUL VAUTIN lol

  • pretty sure it was definately a fluke the dude who caught it was used to play rugby league for fuck sake there was no fine judgment at all it was pretty much just like a charity match

  • all i have to say is

    WHAT A CATCH

  • woof some stuff

  • great vid mate.. dale's catch is probably the best outfield catch taken... Sinclair's grab not far behind..

  • Three words:

    What a catch!

  • FATTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • tony greig makes these catches more epic, a lot better than the other commentators

  • For the moment and time it was taken plus the fact I remember it so vividly my money goes to the Steve Waugh catch. It was just pure magic.

  • that fucking catch. legend.

  • pure gold... great vid!

  • i play club cricket omg i mad the best catch in cricket one hand dive of a pull shot!

  • Hey guys, enough about Fatty's Fucking Catch. :-P

  • Fatty Vaughton u arsy bastard.......

  • i didnt know Ajay Jadeja was australian

  • These are just catches that were taken in Australia, Sinclair is a kiwi.

  • yes mate i think he's being sarcastic but didnt bother to name all the non australians, instead opted to name only the obvious non australian jadeja

  • Sinclair is Australian, he just played for the sheep molesters

  • I was at both games, for the Adam Dale and the Fatty Vaughtin catches. The Adam Dale was better, even though Vaughtin isn't a cricketer, he still has good hand/eye co-orindation, so the tricky part is just getting your hand to the ball.

  • Adam Dale's has always been my personal favourite. What a ripper.

  • fatty vaughton

    for a non cricketer

    that was amazing catch

  • great compilation one of the best catching compilations on youtube

  • Fatty's catch was the best I've seen...that is absolutely amazing for a non cricketer!!!!

  • I dunno what about that early 90's charity match with Fatty Vaughtin? No Adam Dale but it would have been funny as hell to see it again.

  • adam dale wins no doubt. mid air catch in one hand fully stretched. :D

  • Yeah that Adam Dale catch is prob my favourite, his reaction and that of the commentator make it even better. Dyson's was the yardstick for years, but the rest are close.

  • 0:36 is former England off-spinner John Emburey catching Ken MacLeay off Graham Dilley's bowling in the 1987 Challenge in Perth.

0:51 (as nikred said) is Ajay Jadeja catching Allan Border off Kapil Dev in the 1992 World Cup in Brisbane.

1:09 is Dipak Patel catching Craig McDermott off Ewen Chatfield in the 1987-88 World Series Cup in Perth.

This is one of the better classic catch compilations I've seen on YouTube. Well done.

  • Thanks for that. Thank you to doungy and nikred as well.

  • 0:51 is Ajay Jadeja - thats the Indian team in the 1992 world cup. seen it live:)

  • 1.09 - was dipak patel

  • outstanding, so good to see dyson's catch again finally!
