  • If I were one of the Temps & I saw this I'da been really proud.

  • omg i swear i love their moves!!!!!!

  • now thats entertainment..

  • simply amazing

  • I guess 24 people's papas weren't rolling stones!

  • @IWannaBe120 now 30

  • wow!! so exciting!! thanks for posting.

  • AWESOME<3<33

  • 2:30-2:40!! I couldn't believe my ears! what a voice! Best dancer and singer ever

  • 2:30-2:40!! I couldn't believe my ears! what a voice!

  • I dug this cover. Marlon was really good and Michael in a lower range sounded nice. It is a wonder why he felt he couldn't sing in this range more during this time. It can't touch the Temps, but who cares the Jacksons did a damn fine job of it anyway.

  • I love this....blaxploitation film music to the max!!! the Temps and J5....we will always love you!!!

  • love it

  • this is like the only song I heard them sing in which they really should not have done over... and coming from me - that's a lot.

Temptations own this song and not even the legendary J5 could best and they could best a lot of songs with their better cover... like Smokey's song.

  • This is one the most awesome things I've ever seen.

  • so rare to hear mj singing in his real voice

  • Man these boys worked alot!!!

  • amazing!!!

  • Glad to see Marlon, and Jackie doing some lead vocals too!!! Nice clip.

  • That guy can sure dance!!

  • My boy Randy KILLIN on the drums tho'!!!

  • I'm sorry, I love Michael and he is the greatest singer and dancer and artist ever, but this is not a good cover , The Temptations sounds better... That's it, they were under a contract, they had to do whatever the boss said.

  • @laurastoleru2009 co-sign that... the original "...rolling stone" arrangement is something you just shouldn't mess with. michael sang a little too fast but i liked him using his lower register

  • @laurastoleru2009 I 110% agree with you. This cover was bad. The choreography was admirable, but vocally the highlight was honestly Marlon! This is truly a testament to how good the temptations were. If we erase the politics the temptations is probably the best group ever!!!!

  • @dlancaster I strongly DISAGREE! They were young and giving their interpretation or the interpretation of the person who arranged this version of the song, but I thought it was GREAT! and they all did a great job, ESPECIALLY Michael.

  • i love the tempts version too. BUT THE JACKSONS KILLED IT RIGHT HERE!!EVEN BETTER!!!!!!!THEIR MOVES ARE SLICK.

  • i love the tempts version too. BUT THE JACKSONS KILLED IT RIGHT HERE!!EVEN BETTER!!!!!!!THEIR MOVES ARE SLICK.

  • yes randy play those bongos! and sing it marlon!

jackie and michael are so hot :)

  • Go RANDY. God I love this song and this tempo. Ahh The Temptations would have taught thema few things them being side of stage all those years.

  • The dancing is sick!!.. as is all their singing and randy on drums!!

  • Joesph Jackson isn't dead my father met him a few years back.

BTW this song was originally sung by

    the Temptations

  • i was born on the 3rd of september

  • that day you'll always remember

  • (2:27) poor Mike, his voice was changing and he still sounded amazing

  • I'm usually not a fan of remakes but this one is GOOD! Marlon & Jackie was sanging! Mike sounded cute singing fast!! Randy is no joke on them congas! And the choreography is tight!!!! Makes me wish I was born earlier!!

  • @gomoni87 I am not a rap fan but check out the version from South Central Cartel.

  • Great choreography, great cover, great singing... Amazing talent...!

  • I hate the 3rd of September this year... I never would have imagined Michael would have been interred so young...

Sleep sweetly in the light, dear, beautiful boy...

God called his angel back home...

  • HA HA.. just watching them sing with atitude the song from the the temptations i bet the jacksons wish it was really the 3rd day of september for their dad to die becuz papa was a brutal stone abusing there kids speacially on randy for not get counts proper on dance moves and beating the crap out of michael like he is seeing hell for the 1st time lol just watch and listen the music changed im guessing this is ther violent remixx to jospeh.

  • lol i was kinda thinkin that too. the reason they sang this so well was cuz of there bitterness toward their own punk ass father.

  • Comment removed

  • i was born on the 3rd of september

  • joesph died on the 3rd of september.

  • Does anyone know what key they sang this in? Its different from the original

  • mo mamex carriesno1fan., the temps are better than the jacksons..

  • I LOVE this. I love how versatile they were.. they were way more capable than Motown gave them credit for! Gordy made them sing the same stuff (altho it was good) for years and this proves they could have done so much more with more freedom. Sorry, but this blows the Temps out of the water performance wise. (you can't touch them as far as the heart of the song and what it's getting across is concerned, but watch those boys work it!)

  • they made a pure classic into a soulja boy song

  • I don't see Jermaine. This looks like there concert in Mexico, by that point they had already left motown. They were the Jacksons not the Jackson 5.

  • Oh my dear Lord that was sexy as hell! Go Marlon, Jackie and Michael!

  • yea gypsy... thats what is sad about the world right now..

  • the bomb . its funny how back then any one can sing an other artists song and theyd be ok with that . if that happend today we get another east coast west coast battle or a law settlement

  • what do youi mean? those days they also had to get the original artist permission.

  • To add to your point, the Jackson 5 didn't just sing "Papa Was A Rolling Stone", but at the end of the video they actually started mixing in the chorus of the Temptations 1973 hit "Masterpiece". The music from that song begins to play and they sing, "It's an everyday thing..." If you are not familiar with that song, just type it in. The Tempts are singing it live on soultrain.

  • holy crap that choreography was awesome!!!!!!

  • Marlon & Michael doing the Robot at the beginning. Look at 0:37 on. Jackie in the middle doing the Robot glide. Those boys knew choreography.

  • is this from the mexico concert?

  • yep

  • FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!! That was a great underground clip!

  • 35sec DAMN!! :P

  • you are funny

  • MARVELOUS PERFORMANCE!!!!!

  • LOOK AT MIKE GET DOWN.

  • R.I.P. M.J.J. Bless your forever from amsterdam

  • Hey you ever stopped and dug the lyrics of your favorite nursery rhyme..???

  • maybe it is. the man was never around, maybe came by ever once in awhile to bug mom for money or ass, now he dead and gone good riddance, it's a celebration bitches!

  • Seriously talented, man they could dance. Too bad their heads seem to disappear lol

  • is he doing kind of a moonwalk on 0:38 - 0: 48???

  • no hes doing that robot move from dancing machine :D

  • That was almost psychedelic. !!!!

  • awesome song!

  • Excellent!

  • whos da kid on the bongos

  • Their youngest brother, Randy Jackson.

  • That's their kid brother, Randy.

  • I've noticed that Marlon sang a lot of solos after Jermaine left. Surprisingly he could/can sing his anus off.

Sticking to the subject...does anyone remember Jackie singing lead or doing a solo? What about Tito?

  • yeah you can find some good ones with jackie singing lead. My favorites are "Wondering Who" and "Wait". As for Tito, listen to "We Can Change the World". He sounds great in that one.

  • and Hum Along and Dance. they were younger in that one than the others I mentioned and Jermaine hadn't left yet. Jackie sings lead.

  • this verison goes too fast i thought something was wrong with my computer

  • ahhhh my head hurts its too fast!!! its sweet they can sing on speed but god dang it! theres a coupla other vids at this concert where they sing on super speed. chop it and screw it or somethin to get a normal tempo goin.

  • That's probably why the lights are off. The camera man quit because he developed carpal tunnel.

  • Marlon sang it very good..

  • this version got more groove than temptations but they sing better than the jackson 5

  • gulino thriller...

  • Lo sai Michael xkè 6 diventato bianco?Xkè t 6 immerso nel liquido!

  • u know they were singin' this to Joe Jackson cos I heard he was a rollin' stone..LOL

  • My papa was actually Mick Jagger....does that qualify??

  • the temptations did a better job than than jacksons they was sining 2 fast

  • No no no!

  • Temptations classic? It's not their song originally. but they definitely made it famous and a classic.

  • lol. wow. Marlons jump at 1:55 was the best :)

  • This is pretty good. The Jackson 5 are just legends in their on right and one of the greatest groups of all-time!!!!

  • damn michael's voice was deep... i thought it was still jackie singing but they switched

  • deep? what do you mean deep? it's not deeper than his all-time voice.

  • Nice video!!! Watch the J5 as a kid. CHECK OUT my version as well...thanks!

  • not bad...but I like Temps virson better

  • i meant the boy randy jackson is playing bongos he always have been.. u should really know the jacksons

  • you couldn't be further from the truth. I really must apologise. My lack of knowledge of the jackson 5 group is apalling. i will change my ways and go forth to study each and every individual member of the group until no further knowledge is available through any source anywhere. Best wishes, Sam Bourne

  • Lol.

    Thats Randy playing them.

For some odd reason, I love 0:44-45.

    Marlon is silly.

  • who's playing the bongo's? this is wicked!

  • the boy who is playing it is RANDY jackson

  • Nice aint it i know off the chain

  • Fast as hell, great choreagraphy with perfect presentation.5*

  • Those damn boys was cold blooded!!! They actually took that song and made it their own. That's what you called talented and entertainers. The moves they were doing to that joint was complex and not easily picked up on. That video was the sht!!!

  • Jammin boi! Paradise lost though.

  • wow mike's deep soul vice is nice :)

  • I LOVE MARLON!!!!

  • oh i mean send it to Michaeljlady1 my bad not Michaeljlady ok sorry so confused

  • hey im still the same person Michaeljlady but i canged it to Michaeljlady1 so what i said on the old one goes, Michaeljlady, but if you have a comment to send me just go to Michaeljlady ps. im really 13 instead of 21 on my old one

  • i'm sorry but The Jackson 5 rocked the temptations out they own song even though i like them but their version was plain and boring but the jackson spiced it up abit and i kind of like it fast it sound hot and do yall see them sweatin definately Michael umm umm and can dance!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yup!

Some songs are better left to the original artists.

No one can come close to Dennis Edwards on this one.

  • some sweet ass dance movies

  • Everybody stop hating that was perfect I like their version and the tempts

  • Lousy musical arrangement-but the J5 still do their thing.

  • you know, they DO their thing man, but i'm right there with you. that arrangement was hard to taste. way too fast lol. they lost groove on this version.

i mean, right on and everything, and Jackson5 rules ass, but they ARE so much better than this lol.

  • im major fans of both jackson 5 and temptations but i think this is absolutely terrible and does neither any justice

  • OK. The Jacksons are better dancers, but the Tempts are far better singers. Some songs are better left to the original artists...

  • but they weren't the originals either

  • WOW

  • sing it Marlon!!! LOL
