@craigodorius yeah its an 08 f350 but when my f350 broke down i pull it with a 03 ranger to the ford dealer ship the ranger pulled it with a trailer on the back with 4 cars on the trailer it was a v6 ranger and it pulled it just as well as the f350 did the turbo went out on the f350

@MPLSTORM my 07tundra will destroy any full sized truck in its class aside from an srt10. the company i work for has a whole fleet of brand new f350 and f450 fords and they have had a wide range of problems with them from spark plugs blowing clean out of the head(thats happened to 4 or 5 of the trucks) to turbos going out with less than 10,000 miles on them. i know these trucks are in a different class but thats what you get from ford, garbage not to mention tranny's ans rearends

Neither of the video's you referenced are "carp" shelby. They are all actual depictions of the trucks capabilities. They certainly are made to appear more dramatic and flashy... but they are all accurate depictions of what the truck can do. What part of those video's do you have issues with?

Hmmm, so the fact that the Tundra ALSO has a 6-speed tranny (and has since 2007) that has a lower axle ratio and includes a Tow/Haul feature means it has a harder time towing?

listen here, 99% of these tests are set-up for THAT truck to show that it can tow or haul however much they want it to. the new F-150 is the best truck out there. nobody can argue with that. it has the BEST 4x4 next to Chevy, the BEST traction control, the BEST towing, the most FUEL EFFICIENT V8 in its class, the BEST 6-speed tranny, the most weight (which means better traction). all toyota has is a fuel guzzling V8 and horrible traction to ALL 4 WHEELS. Ford rocks.

You are correct and you are wrong broadcastbuddy. That trailer weighs 5,000 lbs and the Tundra weighs 5,000 lbs, hence 10,000 lbs. Because the trailer and the Tundra combined weigh 10,000 lbs the Tundra did stop 10,000 lbs.

My 07 Tundra is awesome. 5.7 liter. I've owned all the domestic trucks and nothing compared to this Tundra. My 99 Ram was the only dissapointment with a tranny that stayed in the shop. Good Luck Gents and Gals.

Tundra is a nice truck if you just want to ride and maybe hotrod a bit. It can't pull jackshit. A friend of mine tried to hook up a trailer and the rear was already drooping and didn't load the trailer yet. Accelerates like crazy though, but if I wanted to go fast I'll get a sports car. Oh! And it sucks fuel like there is no tommorrow. I was very disappointed. I'm with hotrodkid17, I'd get a F150 before this piece of crap.

Lo and behold, my Dad gets the job and here it is for all of you to enjoy. Be assured that the entire thing was not faked or computerized in any way.
Dan I agree. The older Toyota's (the ones made in japan) are much better than the ones made here. You have to literally go to japan to buy one though. However 300k out of my truck should be no problem. 200 will be a breeze and another 100 or close to it should be possible I use the best gas and oil you can buy and it does help over the long haul of the vehicle.
hotrodkid7 you really can't be 28. You tell someone to go to college and misspell polition, camery, and your overall tone of conversation seems to be that of a much younger person. Anyway, the Tundra is a much better overall truck than any of the Detroit 3. They are no longer called the big 3 since they were surpassed by sales by another maker, guess who that was. It won't be long before they take over not just Chrysler but Chevy and Dodge. When I say not too long I really mean 15-20 year aprox.
You can get 300,000K out of a Toyota and the doors will still function like new. I had 280,000K on a 91 Toyota Celica and it was never in the shop. Much less had the door falling off. I plan on keeping my Tacoma until it has 250-300k miles on it, and expect to only replace a timing belt at 200,000 miles. Other than that it should never see the inside of a shop. I do my own oil changes every 12,000 miles. I use Castrol full synthetic oil so I don't change it like the book says every 7,500K.
You used to be able to get 300000K out of a Toyota, but since the mid 90's Toyota's quality went downhill to try to cut cost and be more competitive. You get you what you paid for is the motto. I will say I owned 2 toyo's in my life, a 82 toy diesel and 88 toy w/22R engine, both pickups. They were virtually indestructible. I would bet any money that the newer trucks wouldn't last half of the abuse I put those 2 trucks. My needs have changed since then but I'd rather support my economy at home.
Clearly the point of this video is beyond you hotrod. Toyota did not make this commercial because they believed there was a market segment that enjoyed driving their trucks over see-saws while towing a 5,000 lb trailer.

FYI asshole the F-150 is the BEST TRUCK OF 2009. it has THE BEST 6 speed tranny. toyota had to use tow/haul to tow fuckin 8,000 lbs!!!! Ford and GM didnt!!!!! also, the F-150 has the most FUEL EFFICIENT V8. even though its a 5.4 it can still leave your piece of SCRAP toyota in the DUST

Hmmm, so the fact that the Tundra ALSO has a 6-speed tranny (and has since 2007) that has a lower axle ratio and includes a Tow/Haul feature means it has a harder time towing?

listen here, 99% of these tests are set-up for THAT truck to show that it can tow or haul however much they want it to. the new F-150 is the best truck out there. nobody can argue with that. it has the BEST 4x4 next to Chevy, the BEST traction control, the BEST towing, the most FUEL EFFICIENT V8 in its class, the BEST 6-speed tranny, the most weight (which means better traction). all toyota has is a fuel guzzling V8 and horrible traction to ALL 4 WHEELS. Ford rocks.

@dant387 if you knew any thing about the tundra you would know that all the tow haul does is smooth acceleration and holds the gears a bit longer before the shift. its not some special button you have to push to pull a heavy load. do you know why ford developed a new 6 speed? because thay had the worst 4 speed in years before and toyota killed them in 07 and 08, thats why they have a 6 speed

My 07 Tundra is awesome. 5.7 liter. I've owned all the domestic trucks and nothing compared to this Tundra. My 99 Ram was the only dissapointment with a tranny that stayed in the shop. Good Luck Gents and Gals.

Tundra is a nice truck if you just want to ride and maybe hotrod a bit. It can't pull jackshit. A friend of mine tried to hook up a trailer and the rear was already drooping and didn't load the trailer yet. Accelerates like crazy though, but if I wanted to go fast I'll get a sports car. Oh! And it sucks fuel like there is no tommorrow. I was very disappointed. I'm with hotrodkid17, I'd get a F150 before this piece of crap.

Dan I agree. The older Toyota's (the ones made in japan) are much better than the ones made here. You have to literally go to japan to buy one though. However 300k out of my truck should be no problem. 200 will be a breeze and another 100 or close to it should be possible I use the best gas and oil you can buy and it does help over the long haul of the vehicle.

Anyway, the Tundra is a much better overall truck than any of the Detroit 3. They are no longer called the big 3 since they were surpassed by sales by another maker, guess who that was. It won't be long before they take over not just Chrysler but Chevy and Dodge. When I say not too long I really mean 15-20 year aprox.

You can get 300,000K out of a Toyota and the doors will still function like new. I had 280,000K on a 91 Toyota Celica and it was never in the shop. Much less had the door falling off. I plan on keeping my Tacoma until it has 250-300k miles on it, and expect to only replace a timing belt at 200,000 miles. Other than that it should never see the inside of a shop. I do my own oil changes every 12,000 miles. I use Castrol full synthetic oil so I don't change it like the book says every 7,500K.

You used to be able to get 300000K out of a Toyota, but since the mid 90's Toyota's quality went downhill to try to cut cost and be more competitive. You get you what you paid for is the motto. I will say I owned 2 toyo's in my life, a 82 toy diesel and 88 toy w/22R engine, both pickups. They were virtually indestructible. I would bet any money that the newer trucks wouldn't last half of the abuse I put those 2 trucks. My needs have changed since then but I'd rather support my economy at home.

Hotrod... they called the Tundra the safest truck available for 2008. There is no way around that. The IIHS SAYS YOU ARE SAFER IN A 2008 TUNDRA THAN ANY OTHER 1/2 TON AVAILABLE. There is no argument when discussing the IIHS ratings.

they gave it the safest truck rating only because it was also tested in the side impact.

No, the only reason they said the Tundra was the safest truck was because it's the safest truck in their testing. They did front, side, and rear and overall the Tundra is the safest truck. IT IS QUITE SIMPLE.
