@bav854 John Farnham is known as 'The Voice' due to his hit 'You're The Voice' and has been the most popular singer in Australia- BUT, he was not made for LRB. Without Glenn Shorrock, it just isn't LRB! That Farnham era was a hollow period.. the songs were good, but without Glenn, they're lost...
This was about my favorite song on the collossal '78 lp Sleeper Catcher.Still one of the best pop/rock albums....and how about the extraordinary vocals from Glen Shorrock???? Wow!!!!!!!!!Saw them live at London Gardens in late '78 or early '79. Truly amazing night.
An Aussie treasure from the '70s which a line-up of several writers; the purest harmonies possible; technically perfect masters of their instruments. Little River Band indeed !
Great stuff can anyone remember a track of theirs with the words " red headed wild flower, growing in the wrong garden " ? I'd like to know the name of the song please
"Light of Day" is an excellent tune and George McArdle was an excellent bass player. Wonder why this was the B-Side of "Lonesome Loser" as they were from different LPs.
@xeuropn Totally agree - that was an amazing track - I had my vinyl version stolen and I MISS that track! That and the full version of "long way there"
Aloha all you Aussies.. I did not know that the Little River Band are Australian, would not have put that past them.. lovely music, indeed, five stars and one more for doing well ...
Such a wonderful song and moment in time. The true talent of LRB is all right here. Brilliant. It royally pisses me off that the LRB name is being soiled by impo$ter$. Karma...
Listened daily to a couple of cassettes of LRB's hits when I was at uni. They are permanently imprinted on my brain. Favorites include "Emma" and "Man on your mind"...
gr8 harmonies vocals and guitars !!!,i still listen to them even now,a couple of years back, shorrock goble and birtles bought out a dvd called full circle, performing many of their hits !!
glenn shorrock in my opinion is the voice of LRB. nobody else even comes close.

LRB did put out a few good songs after Shorrock left, such as The Other Guy, We Two, and Playing to Win.

No fake LRB here, and no Housden & Nelson. This is the REAL Little River Band.

@DAYSONTHEROAD And no John Farnham. Nothing against Farnham, but it didn't work and twas painfully obvious.

at first, I really don't like this old band but then I started to like their music...

@helloworld0714 some of their songs are annoying, but essentially they were a fine band, until Glenn shorrock left.

Great song, but my favorite was Light Of Day. It's almost unheard of, as you can't find it anywhere in video or concert clips. Too bad.

Not a huge fan of LRB, but I do like this song. There's no doubt that Derek Pellicci is an outstanding drummer. A nice Chris Lofven video too.
