  • hi my name is djray i well like to know how to put music into my torq can u help me

  • the crossfader on the external and internal wont work

  • Is this compatible with CK-1000 American Audio? It's a Dual cd/mp3 player with mixer combo. It only has 1 output source

  • 2 things,

firstly what is the quality like when playin real vinyl through it (with the knob turned)

& im thinking of getting this to use about 1/4 of the time for rare tracks etc, will the set up run with the knobs turned is there is no laptop??

  • Quality is like a proper phono-preamp, and yes - you can still use it without the laptop turned on or being attached, but you need to get an external power supply which is not included.

  • what kind of laptop u use i know u dont use that old mac

  • thats a windows mashine u see in the vid ;) currently I use a MacBook with latest torq version 1.07

  • my bad i though it was a old powerbook

yeah my ibook it runs ok not great but ok

  • I'm using 2cdj 800's with Torq. The problem is that when i press play on cdj A(right hand side), i hear tracks on both channels + torq tries to synchrosize both tracks ..

So i hear 2songs from cdj A only..

Does anybody know whats the problem?

  • its because you use the so called amputade mode. turn it off in the preferences and you can use both sources to play with.

  • hey how did u get ut cd working with torq??? i have a cdj but the control dont work!! just the music

  • This is gooood. Thanks man!

  • How do i get rid of the hum sound. If i unplug my laptop power plug it goes away. I dont know how to get rid of the annoying hum.

  • maybe your earth cables aren't connected propperly. check them and try again.

  • tape the earth on your power supply or do as i did...buy an extension cable with no earth pin.

  • thanx man..i brought this from someone without instruction manuals....this really helps

  • hey craxgt...do u know if I can mix with torq using only one turntable? I am pretty sure u can do it with serato, but I am still not sure if it can be done with torq...thanx for the nice video.. : )

  • yes you can. this feature is called amputade mode.

  • thank you so much you were a great help and the people working at M-Audio tech support suck. Chhers

  • Hey mate great vid, Does the connective need to be connected to the wall powerpoints as a power source or does it just run from the computers power? Many thanks i'm just wanting to know so i can purchase from overseas where the software is much cheaper :)

  • it just poweres via the usb port, but you can add an external power suppy if you want to, to make it run without the computer. that might be helpful if u wanna play real vinyl without booting the pc and without messing with cables, etc.

  • how about with 4 ch mixer and 2 turntable and 2 cdj

  • torq only got two ins and outputs, so if you connect a turntable and a cdj at the same time to channel one and the two others to channel two, you can somehow do that. the thing is, it only got two outputs as well, so 4 channel mixer doesnt make sense. if I were you, I would just use the turntables with torq and directly connect the cdjs into your mixer. otherwise don't buy torq. you have to buy FS instead, cause I'm relatively sure seranto can't handle more than two as well.

  • do you know how to connect midi controllers with torq? I have a lot of problem connecting them

  • Its as easy as it can be. just connect via usb and then just right-click or hold the ctrl-key and press the button or knob you want to control, and then move the fader, button or knob on your midi controller. Thats all it takes, now you got this particular function set to control via the thing you moved on your midi-device.

  • good tutorial! lol look at 3:59, lol, I DID THE EXACT SAME THING TO MY HP LAPTOP! i Want an appple soooo bad, i found a sticker and covered up my logo! lol.....im such a poser

  • xD haha, I would like to have a mac laptop as well, but I can't afford it and basicly I dont really need it, so I spend my money buying other things, cause I got an iMac right to my decks so no need to have a laptop for DJing, and that old Toshiba bugger still does a great job for surfin on the net and thats everything I really need it for.

  • Nice explanation of how to connect. It's not rocket science but sometimes needs some explanation. Never had problems plugging in stuff but most likely this will help many.

  • hopefully ;) I dont find it hard to do myself, but some people do, and it's nice to spread knowledge ;)

  • Hey thanks for the explanation it really helped it was confusing because i have only 2 phono and 2 line outputs on my mixer so once i had put the turntables in i plugged the m-audio into my mixer i put it in the phono plug but anyway it really helped thanks.
