  • I will be able to see my carbon footprint easily in the foot of snow coming this winter.

  • I have been radically changing my diet and carbon footprint this year, everybody. No it ain't easy, but it's not that hard either!!! Life gets simpler, healthier, lighter, easier. Keep making those baby steps to be a more conscious human!! We are all in this together. Every little thing matters.

  • if you like music there is a very interesting video about carbon foot print from deer park middle magnet watch?v=MHEMZP4K-2I

  • Outstanding! Love to bits this magic music. That noble clip is one of the best things I ever seen on TV. Thought-provoking, climatic and broaching significant problem. Save our Planet, folks !

BOGHOSIAN, why do You write this SHIT? Don't be so wise, fudge tunnel. Better keep recycling. (-:

  • rtjhfgyhjcfghj

  • Thats the coolest thing ive seen all week!

  • Are you fuckin kidding me!!!! Fuck off you globalists!!! Global Warming is fake!!!!

  • @boghosian lol?

  • @Yongsan12 Yeah it's fake!!! Go reaserch

  • @boghosian LOL it really is all a damn lie. More scientist say that its fake than the ones that say its real. Theres just a global government ruling who's opinion matters most.

  • Recycling is ok with me but global carbon taxation, removal of people from carbon dense locations to a Eco friendly one, the green police surveilling you, is total bullshit. Fuck this fake global warming propaganda they are selling you. This is all about control not global warming. Do your research on climate gate. It's a huge fraud.

  • @leebog31 Right on

  • soda cans are aluminum, and they dont rust?

  • Anyone else feels sorry for the can? .__.

  • I didnt make the can like that? go fuck yourself if you think im going to "Recycle" it...... looks like it "went away" just fine, carbon footprint propoganda this is.

  • @DrewClev88 Retard this is.

  • @Zofnoz really, in the video the world ends and the can is still there............. dosnt look like it would matter much huh?......... like i said, propoganda

  • @DrewClev88 Perhaps the end of the world and the can is connected? Its not just cans but everything that can be recycled, things that recycle on their own affects sources of water and atmosphere, not to mention the psycological affection on humans. Living in a trashed world doesnt really encourage people to do better. And besides, is it really that hard to recycle a can?

  • @DrewClev88 Yup, it's all BS

  • Nicely done!

  • you're telling me no one picked up that can for a year?

  • @EmperorOfMars 50 years*

  • my goal is to have the mostest biggest largest cabon footprint in the world. i eat cow meat, i eat spicy foot and pass methane gas, i drive a diesel pickup truck from the 80's that has black smoke ! i shall be the king of carbon and you cannot stop me unless you murder me and that shall never happen ! death to planet earth ! ha ha ha !

  • @doubleslottedflaps LOL you cant hurt this planet if you wanted to.

  • @illuminatioification You can't hurt this planet if you wanted to???? SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!!

  • This video is so cool, i actually made a video about what could happen if the world were to get so polluted! Check it out, but don't expect too much, nice video btw!

  • Gore's Carbon Print is the size of King Kong's with Diahrea, which reveals how much he believes his and his banking business backers own AGW BS

  • Here's how you spell propaganda:

    C L I M A T E C H A N G E

  • how is oxygen made?

  • WOW that was 50 years ahhh i willl recycle *holds hand in air epicly*

  • I like helping nature while recycling, but sometimes I'm too lazy to do it. :/

  • NIce CG, but some things don't make much sense IMO. The lighting changes are awkward and the road stripe is restored a few times under the can, so how could it stand in this spot for so long?

  • i dont have a carbon footprint, i drive everywhere.

  • Who is behind, and paying for recycling advertising? Companies that make a profit on it,that's who. What is 50 years in our planets existence? Don't answer that because i know,it's a drop in the Grand Canyon..

  • @Jabbot123 50 years??? is that all it takes for a tin can to recycle itself? how much energy is wasted by humans to recycle them??? i guess im going to stop recycling.

  • @RoyVanNistelrooij well 50 years is half of our life times though but true

  • This whole "Carbon Footprint" debate is just hokum. They want you to recycle. Thats it. Nothing to do with global warming.

If they really wanted to correct the carbon imbalance in the biosphere then more trees would have been planted.

We (the human race) produce less than 6% of the carbon dioxide generated globally. The issue is the planets innability to soak up the greenhouse gasses due to deforestation.

However it may already be too late to correct it anyway.

    Ah well have a beer.

  • i agree with you. You have a point about what you said about trees and all that but still, human being has a respnsability of doing an effort for global warming. Even if we produce less than 6% of the carbon dioxide (which I'm sure is way more) we have to react. Saying "yeah whatever, it's not our fault, so I'm not gonna care" is the problem. People have the ability of doing something so I think they must do it, don't you think?

  • @TheMargo07 Yes I agree. It would be prudent to cobnsider trying to balance the carbon build up in the environment. However I am sceptical of governments telling us what we should do. Remember the "Millenium Bug" and other great money makers? I'm not saying do nothing. I'm saying do the correct thing.

There is a saying: Believe nothing. No matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it. Unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

  • hi folks, glad you like the advert and that you can all enjoy it and argue about it at the same time.

Oh yeh...and soda cans dont rust - unless they are from the 70's and made from steel....thats my excuse anyway.

I worked on the vfx and have (finally) gotten around to posting up some making of videos.

look up the videos in my vid section

  • Thumbs down? Well, yesterday, a city from the south of Brazil, hit the highest minumum temperature ever! Thumb it down again!

  • @grabedigger Don'tyou know that's all part of "Global Warming"?"Global Cooling"!! Yeah....Ahhh? Thats how it starts..Daaaa? Gotta get cold,Ahhh? before it gets,AHHH? Warm???

  • @grabedigger: saberia me dizer qual cidade que foi? Seria Curitiba?

  • @AdeonC Meu caro, não sei qual foi a cidade, eu vejo a TV Record aqui em Portugal. Quando puder, veja o que aconteceu na Ilha da Madeira, mais um belo exemplo. See what happened on Madeira Island, a great example!

  • bullsheet

  • oh so cans ARE bio-degradable!

  • For those who don't believe in climate changes....well, where I live, snow it's a rare thing, only happens in extreme situations. The thing is that I am at the same latitude as NY, but never snows here. Last time it did snow, was in 1986, one year before I did born, well, same happened last year.....and guess what, this year happened too....two times this month, and one in December...now don't come and tell me that nothing is wrong...

  • well ur altitude commends that, now i on the other hand live in florida and it snowed not only in tampa, but jacksonville AND orlando during the winter. It was like 27 degrees minus the wind chill and we are the sunshine state >:O

  • @taj561 Man, not altitude for shure! I live in sea level...2 to 10 meters above sea level. Porto city in Portugal....there is no snow here because of the sea currents! But something, somehow is changing...

  • carbon footprints dont matter, their not doing anything to the temperature of the earth.

man made global warming = load of shit

  • The best way to reduce our Carbon Footprint is to simply use less, to live in smaller spaces that consume less material and energy to build

  • my carbon footprint is embedded in the asses of all the factless brainwashed green movement zealot shitheads, who don't understand their really working in favor of the enemy.

  • damn i love my carbon footprint. if you won't leave one then i'll just have to take another step or two!!!

  • higher co2 = better plant growth. Makes sense to me. maybe you global warming dipshits would rather starve countries than increase co2 emissions. Plants need co2. why did plants and trees grow so big during the time of the dinosaurs. it was because there was so much more co2 in the atosphere. you people will follow any snake oil sales man who knocks on your door. take a science or horticulture class and quit listening to your friends and fucking idiots like al gore.

  • omg @deniro781 you are unbelievable arrogant....

  • thanks for noticing...I try to do my part!!

  • I'm happy enough i dont have a Carbon Footprint as i drive everywhere!

  • Doing the right thing is reducing our Carbon Footprint

  • C.A.R.B.O.N.

F.O.O.T.P.R.I.N.T.S. = "Could Atmosphere Really Be Overheated Now From Oregonians Own Truck Pollution Realized In Never-endingly Tracking Sasquatch?"

Proving Global warming is like trying to catch Bigfoot.... It doesn't happen. Al Gore avoids debates for good reason: he can't win!

  • One of the greatest commercials, I've ever seen:O!

  • thnnx for posting this it really made me think.

  • My mustang GT has a giant CFP. Especially without the emmision controll. I have so much power I can outrun the carbon foot print. ANd I do this all fucking day

  • of course i do, it really goes without saying. in general, though, the history of govt as a protector of the environment is very poor. it is fact that government, both federal and local, is the greatest single polluter in the US. environmental types raise all this money for lobbying in vain while that money could be used for truly beneficial envirn't projects. why ppl think that giving govt more power to destroy the envrnmnt, while robbing productive citizens, is beyond me.

  • wow how shortsighted (disclaimer: I am not a Republican and I am definitely not stuch in the left-right paradigm as you seem to be). Taxes hurt everybody except the special interests, even then in the long term they are hurt. i hope u realize that govt has a really poor record when it comes to taxes and their stated uses. the carbon tax is just another attempt to enslave us all.

  • Taxes never accomplish any goal the carbon tax will be a means of control. We need to grow hemp to replace timber and plastics in products. Solar and Wind microgeneration since these types of power loose energy over long power lines. Home permaculture to reduce the need for large scale agriculture. Nuclear, geothermal, clean coal, and hydroelectric power until more advanced power sources comes online. Electric cars are no good due to batteries so bio diesel and hydrogen power for most autos.

  • People, don't allow others to make you feel guilty about things such as this when corporations that made this commercial probably dumped tons of oil or pollutants into the environment last year. Take responsibility, but don't let em' tax you. Especially for the stuff trees breathe in and give back as oxygen! If we want real change, the whole system needs to be redone. Not more taxing, you can't give money to the earth; so who gets the $.....?

  • Beware of more taxes due to your "carbon foot print". Real solutions do not lie in further taxation they lie in innovation like hydrogen automobiles.

  • The money spent on making this commercial could have probably recycled a couple of tons of aluminum.

  • Grandpa can finally dies.. :(

  • who gives a fuck about the earth we are all going to die anyways

  • 1 second 50 years. its all the same to the earth.

if EVERYONE threw out all aluminum cans right now in 50 years they'd all be dust.

50 years is NOTHING if we are just random chance on a rock floating in space.

    so whats the problem?

  • sure, if you prefer trashing the planet to the point of suffocating others with toxins. why not, litter away.

  • that argument might hold an ounce of credibility if species didn't get extinct for completely natural reasons.

  • completely natural? all species? throughout history?

  • questions?

  • and just by coincidence you'll be paying your carbon taxes to the world bank in a few years

  • unfortunately true

  • So, who actually believes this?

  • The moral of the story? White males are destroying Mother Gaia.

  • A footprint is made by man, not a can. They are implying that man is the problem in a clever way. The real polluters are not shown because they have bought carbon credits in advance.

Global Warming is a hoax. The whole solar system is heating up. The sun will experience cycle 24 in 2010 til 2012. Please look it up on the NOAA site. Don't be fooled.

  • This is another way to get sheeple to pay carbon taxes.

  • You think properly. Carry on, soldier.

  • This is a way to get people enslaved to a carbon tax.

  • the human race shows the exact same traits of parasites.........

  • so you watched the Matix too?

  • I watched the Matrix movie too, but you do realize it's not real, right?

  • how does it only snow once in 50 years

lol jj i know i know IT'S A COMPUTER SIMULATION

  • i throw my cans into hospital windows.

    FOR THE LULZ

  • My knob is enormous.

  • The video is cool but it misses the point. To recycle a tine can you need to pollute the atmosphere with the lorry that collects it, and the factory that melts it amongst other things. To pay for recycling we are further taxed. Perhaps the video ending should be boycott tins and buy glass, which can be returned for deposit for re-use, leaving, in comparison a tiny carbon footprint. It also takes 1 second to make the responsible choice. The glass bottle.

  • It stayed there for 50 years? Lazy binmen!

  • It's a computer simulation.

  • Gah yeah.

  • nicely done! It really shows that to preserve this world we must recycle! (+ a lot more) sadly we need to pitch this in terms of saving money to politicians for them to do anything about it... we live in a sad age

  • yeah, whats even scarier is that they should've done a plastic water bottle because those take 300 years to dissolve themselves.

  • you're an idiot

  • 50 yrs wow dats a lot

  • My anal flaps have become infected and a pumpkin is growing out of my rectum. I have to open it up every time I want to go to the toilet

  • I love this video, the graphics are amazing.

  • Don't most councils pay people to pick that stuff up on a daily basis?

Yes. Because that used to be my job.

  • It's illegal to litter still, try going to Hong Kong and littering there, instant $2000 fine.

  • haha you sound like you would know, you lazy environment neglecting person,

    Littering is BADDD!!!

  • It's a computer simulation idiot.

  • @Bladescope its 500$ in most parts of Ontario Canada.

  • Woudnt somone picked it up by then lol

  • haha no?

  • So we SHOULD litter so that street cleaners have work to do?! what an idiot!

  • MOTHERFUCKER

    THAT GUY JUST LITTERED

  • wat a jerk eh?

  • hahahahah XD

  • I think we can all agree that recycling and not littering is good but the majority of us just cba.

  • and thats the reason why the world will end, because we 'cba'.

  • and if you pay attention, all this recycling and things will slow down the affects its having on the earth, which means that whatever we do, its inevitable.

  • piece of shit!!

  • Well for one, if people didn't litter then that'ld be all the street cleaners out of work. And 2, all this global warming and recycling crap is a load of fucking bollocks. It's just more ways to get more money from us, don't you see?

It's all a big fucking scam.....

  • I really doubt this could be a scam since the ice caps ARE actually melting and it does seem good to recycle if you really dont want to get scamed i say dont go Mcdonalds those are the real scams of life and in what way can they get more money from us? if you use a solar powered house you could use the left over energy and SELL it to electrical or w.e companys so you actually GET money but it does not come cheap...so yes back to the point i doubt its a scam.

  • NO! The ice caps are not melting you moron. They are growing and we are in an early Ice Age. The only factor is Sun Spots. There are none now. Al GOre is a fucking idiot.

  • man, don't be stupid,u know wat i mean

  • good video, shows people we need to recicle

  • Recicle? Never heard of it.

  • ........

  • people need to stop saying stuff like, "bad for THE environment" or "bad for the EARTH", and be more honest.

It's BAD for US and our own habitat. The Earth could care less as time on the geological scale is staggeringly different. It's bad for US, not the EARTH people.

  • What ? the US is the only place on earth that throws litter on the floor ? I highly doubt that. And it IS bad for the "EARTH" because, the more we dont recycle the materials that we DO have, the less time we are going to have them. Oil is predicted to run out in the 2030's. That means that all the products that are made with oils (plastics etc etc) will no longer be available, unless we recycle. The less we recycle, the more oil is used, therefore, theres more pollution (Bad for THE environment)

  • "What ? the US is the only place on earth that throws litter on the floor ? I highly doubt that"

Never said that, so I don't see your point... That's US as in you and I, not the country.

"And it IS bad for the "EARTH"

No...It's not. It's bad for US (as in you and I). The Earth is FINE with or without us.

    "(Bad for THE environment)"

Again, it's not bad for 'the environment', it's bad for OUR environment. DIFFERENCE.

You're completely misunderstanding what I said.

  • great... but one point, wouldn't the can get cleared up by the one of the many thousands of street cleaners employed in all of Europe's towns and cities?

  • so if I were to conserve and buy a smaller shoe size, would that decrease my carbon footprint?

and does buying a green shoe really make a difference?

I'm new to this so I'm not quite sure what they are talking about.

    <:o

  • "I'm new to this so I'm not quite sure what they are talking about."

    Use wikipedia :)

  • Ahh of course! The Holy Grail of information Wikipedia, Peace be upon it.

How could I be so blind?!

Do you suppose The Wise Wikipedia will have an answer to my previous questions?

  • this is a beautiful video and so tru. RECYCLE FTW.

    GO GREEN NOW

  • Aren't religions beautiful when you see what they really are?

  • no one gives 2 shits about carbon footprit so fuck you and go do something better in your own time!!!

  • The CGI and effects on this video are really good- its all put together really well.

  • yeh i agree

  • youre all fukin stupid paranoid idiots...

  • Why dont we dig up the billion tonnes of waste thats been buried over the past 50 years and give ourselves a big fucking pat on the back... yawn yawn, 'recycling' what a tax con... too little too late... btw wheres all this fucking recycling money? I used to get hard cash for recycling bottles, cans and paper... oh no I forgot its not worth anything anymore ;-) what a load of shit!

  • Tell me about it

  • you miss the point. its not about money! its about keeping our planet inhabitable for life.

  • I hear the words but don't believe everything you read... hyped up govt crap never tells the full story... its ALWAYS about money ;-)

  • Well, the British Government want to tax the air we breath now, so we'll all have to wear Air mask's with meter's on, and when the £1 run's out, no fuckin oxygen, and unpublically elected PM Brown's got a glass left eye, so no wonder he's living in cookoo land without a right hemisphere conscious coherence to hear the crap that come's out of his gob! He should be in a fuckin mental ward with the rest of the Butt fuking peadophile Paliament!

  • Oh fuck we're goin to get taxed for just simply living now ..... what gives these fucks the right ?

  • Bad cg? errr - this was nominated for best of show at siggraph...that is...best CGI in the world type thing. Plus a slew of other international awards for incredible visual effects. Absoultely everythign except the guy at the beginning is CGI. i saw these guys at siggraph 2008. amazing stuff. now go buy some beers and throw them in the street and sit and watch

  • The CGI itself may not be bad, but they show an aluminum soda can rusting away like a steel can.

  • Never known a can stay in the same spot for that long. and dont we pay people to clean the streets? (yes I recycle)

  • Was this filmed over 50 years? or animated?

  • Can i recycle my farts?

  • LOL!!!!

  • what was that above it?

  • dnt read this(cuz it really wrks). u will gt kissd on the nearest frieday by the love of ur life. 2mara wll b the bst day of ur life hwever if you dnt post ths comment 2 at least 3 vids u will die withn 2 days nw uv startd readn this dnt stp

  • Haaaa

  • The world is already scewed, too late to save it now, i'm afraid.

  • Its not too late

  • I'm afraid it is, we have all destroyed the world. We won't get a 2nd chance. The damage is already done. Accept it and live life to the full.

  • "Live life to the fullest" thats what got us into this mess in the first place! =\

We can stop it we just need to start now.

  • Even if it is too late, wouldn't you prefer to look back at your life and be able to say you did your part?

  • All my rubbish gets recycled now because it all has to be sorted and separated, so ive done my part. Anyway got 2 holidays planned for this year, i'll be leaving a mega carbon footprint!!!!! Don't step on the coal!!!

  • its not too late, we just have to do something about it , i recycle every day i even pick up stuff whats lying on the floor and put it in a bin.

  • Well the world survived for millions of years before us and we're just tiny specks. The planet will survive long after we're gone and rightly so...why should something so infectious survive longer than something natural and beatuiful?

  • Accept the enevitable.

  • Exactly my point. We as a 'civilization' have not proven ourselves worthy of such a good home!

Still, that doesn't stop me from respecting nature.

    x

  • You mean inevitable.

    And that CG was crap.

  • you're kinda missing the point of the vid if your complaining about the CGI being bad

  • Oh, I got the point completely. I feel the video made the point so clear it would be unnecessary to discuss the point itself, as the scientific evidence behind what the video shows is pretty much indisputable. I just felt for such an important issue they could have gone to the trouble of making it look a bit better. It's not like using good animation software is worse for the environment.

  • GoldVisionFilms, i partly agree, BUT humans have created unatural beauty that is amazing and also its not fair on the people that are trying to make a diffrence..

  • Humans may have managed to create beauty but compare that to the amount we have destroyed (forgetting passive things like global warming) like shearing trees, killing animals (imbalances...) and sewage. Just to name a few. I think we should stop trying to make it prettier by adding (for now) and just leave it alone to repair!

  • I'm a 14year old boy and all this is therefore endangering my future, Even yours' and mines' children, I see no reason to put a bloody end to it, It's like bloody terrorism, I know kids in my school who are scared about this stuff and it's our future being thrown away. So all these old men 'the government' who are multi-millionaires sit there doing nothing! I'm so ashamed, Hopefully, My generation will fix it.

  • unfortunately your generation are no better.Kids near here burn trees for fun and have as bad an attitude as anyone. There seems such a lot of work getting through to some people they don't want to know

  • Thats fair and true enough, but you shouldnt blame it all on kids...sure there are alot of us who are stupid enough to destroy our world like that, but i'm 12 and I wouldnt even think about littering =}

  • Im a 15 year old and i always make sure i can be as eco friendly as possible..i guess you could call me a nature loving tree hugging hippy^_^

  • Tbh its all the adults fault they have messed this world up and leaving it up to us to fix.

  • yeah true true, but kids will be kids unfortunately. It's up to adults to raise them with respect for their environment.

After all, it's only us who will suffer in the end, because nature is the sleeping lion we're poking in the eye
