  • Looks like the 72 my brother had. Was a factory no optioin strip down strip 304 that came with traction lok, factory drag links hd 3 speed. I think it weighed in at 2740 lbs. transplanted a souped up 360 out of a 70 ambassador. In a straight line it was incredibly fast. We also put slapper bars on. We whomped so many mustangs camaros chevelles grand nationals, u name it. Excellent car!

  • im 44 yrs old.i have had 30+ cars in my life.3 of them AMC's.They were the best cars ive ever owned.My 77 matador wagon had a 360. got 20 mpg. seated 9.I think it was a better car then most of the cars produced today

  • @caganb the wheely bar is for when he takes off the line leaving any other car lookin like its sittin still...if he didnt hae the bars he would deffinatly lift the front end maybe even flip it like Brian ambrosini did

  • @bartman427 Those r very light cars and not of the norm. I have one with 355 chevy and 350 turbo/stahl and 9 inch ford....lol...smoked everybody I raced on the street....mustangs, grand national, camaros...have been turned to toast...Gremlin's r so light...they get gone real quick. One bad ass street rod...humilates the people in the cars that get beat. lol.
