grease monkey is a good addon on but if you want just to block adds get add block plus itll automaticly block all the ads and you can eaisly config it the way you like it
Ah well you can control it...if you click the monkey in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen, you can disable/enable it. As well, if you back-click it, you can choose which scripts to enable/disable.
If it still has problems, try clearing your cookies/cache.

if you just want to block some ads, use AdBlockPlus (FF) or AdThwart (Chrome).
With those you get a filter just can adjust by rigth clicking the ad

make sure grease monkey is actually installed and enabled both in tools ad on extention and status bar smiley monkey you need

You need to install it...go to add-ons, and go to search for more addons, and then go search for greasemonkey.

i did install it and it didn't work for awhile but it started for some strange reason and it hasn't stopped since... thanks for the help though...

There should be an application of some sort that allows you to make greasemonkey scripts no tech knowledge required...
would be cool huh?

There used to be one for that very purpose called platypus. I think it was discontinued though... not sure.
