@SubieSleeper No, but an Aqualifter makes it easy to get it started. After that, it only needs air sucked out of it about once a year. I have this on a freshwater system, however, a saltwater system will need the air removed more frequently.
I like the video because it is redundant and we're able to see over and over what is what. The camera is held still and consistent and purposely. The clips tell a lot without being gaudy. Although I am not totally sure what is going on it is a very good video and one of the best I have seen on YouTube! Nicely done - pat yourself on the back. I also liked the layout of the system. Clean look. Open and able to see everything - Nice!
Nice looking system. Did you make the overflow box? I am beginning my sump fabricataion and exploring different options on HOB overflows. Any chance you could send me the specs and design of how this one works or where I can get one?

I thought that without an aqualifter, the box wouldn't reprise after a power outage.
