I love FL Studio personally, everything I need is right there at my fingertips, with two monitors I have the perfect setup to display everything I need at the same time, and at the end of the day, Ableton is UGLY. @PringlesPrinzivalli Yes you can. If you know how to use it. It's very simple. I use both Ableton and Fl Studio and I like Fl Studio more because of the simplicity.

I will admit though that most people suck because Fl Studio is mainly torrented, because no one knows how to be legit. If you know how to use Fl Studio, you can get the same results (if not better) as Ableton.

And this is from a person who uses both.

@TheGameLane you can't just bring the project over. you need to take all of the samples and stuff. Everything you use needs to be brought over to the new computer.

i have followed this tutorial and i love it! but i think one thing that gets to me is this video. i personally use the session view because i have the apc40 but i think in this video what got to me was the fact that you have the tool of the drum rack which is such a fantastic tool which you havent taken advantage of! i suggest using it because it keeps it that much more organized. still love the tut. have been lookin for this exact type of tutorial for about 6 months now and i love it!!

I´d consider myself a pro or at least a quite good FL studio user. But whenever I tried to make songs with ableton, i got frustrated because I didn´t know many of its basics, and so there was no workflow. these tutorials really help me getting started with ableton. thanks for explaining the basics so detailed. now I also have a creative flow in ableton.

@gir711 Since so many asked, let me answer this one. Sound wise, there is no difference in using midi-sequenced drums over audio tracks. I like being able to see the wave-forms, reverse samples where needed and using the built-in fades.

But I've made an equal amount of tracks using midi-sequenced drums. It works either way. ^E

Guys, just a hint: a VCF File is an 'address book file' used on the Mac. After you receive the first e-mail and confirm it, you will then receive the NEXT e-mail that HAS the Dubstep Sample Files.

The .vcf File is just a contact info file. The email that contains the .vcf file is a conformation email. You need to click "Yes Subscribe me to the list". Wait a few minutes and you should receive another email with a link to their game and a link to the samples.
