It's funny to see that a lot of old school Finnish/Swedish death metal bands turns from death metal to very various thing (rock, experimental, etc), in the case of Carbonized it's very perturbing and a pleasure at the same time.

Imagine Morbid Angel or Immolation turn to a Pop band, haha ! Unbelievable !

What i find difficult to like about Suffocation is that they only seem to almost try to show off, they have some new song that just sounds ike some random blurr. Carbonized plays grind/Death, If you heard the drummer, he's skilled as hell. But they dont overdo it.

Eventhough this album is like 15 years old, it still sounds refreshing to listen too today. A very unique band indeed and one of my favourites.

I don't tend to look at Suffocation as technical compared to most of the other bands, although they are on a different scale I guess. I've just never seen them as too technical.

Suffocation sounds like the guys have atleast two extra fingers in their hands. Believe me: at all scales, they are a very technical band.
