If a band is emo, that doesn't mean that it's good. Thursday is emo and they totally suck. Good bands can range from classic rock like The Who and the Rolling Stones to modern alternative like Three Days Grace and My Chemical Romance. This girl needs some prozac. Or a big hug. Or sunlight.

Nirvana was the grunge group that accidentally became successful in which corporate music industries decided to sign on every grunge group which in the end made a lot of grunge groups generic. emo did the same all corporate music industries signed on emo groups making it generic. the only difference in these two is that emo sounds horrible, well besides sunny day real estate

All music is emotional. Making a judgement here, apologies if it's unfair/incorrect, but if she wrote/played music herself, she'd understand that. If you create something that means something to you, just because you don't cry onstage when you sing it, doesn't mean it doesn't tug your fucking heart out.

I listen to bands like The Spill Canvas, Brand New, Senses Fail, a bit of Dashboard now and again, depends what you clarify as 'emo'. I also listen to The Stranglers, The Clash, The Ramones, Pistols, whatever.
But the world is getting fucking stupid. Gone is the day when it was ABOUT THE MUSIC. Not the 'label'.
