  • The absolutely most disturbing thing about this is Sue-Ellen's awkward running.

  • Sue Ellen was A FOX *,*

  • Linda Grey was robbed of an Emmy for this storyline.

  • Sue Ellen is drunk in the drunken state and then she ended up in jail and Sue Ellen shaking her head while screaming in jail when she holds the cell bars and Sue Ellen is collapsed and she was lying in jail and Sue Ellen Ewing is dead and she passed away. Sue Ellen Ewing (1947-1985) Linda Gray as Sue Ellen Ewing 1978-1985 Dallas TV Mini Series Prime Time Soap Opera on CBS (1978-1991).

  • No alcohiccup would ever share their booze!

  • I loved the over the top drama on this show.

  • LQQk at her cugg that bottle down !...Dallas' homeless people treats strangers GOOD !

Sue Ellen gett'n drunk with the homeless folks on skid row. JR might have been w/one of his call girls while this was happening. He pays $25,000 for 2 hr sex while Sue Ellen gets free drinks off the street !

  • We watched this clip over and over and over again with my parents and my brothers. Must be from '85 or earlier because I remember my grandmother commenting on the bag lady's dirty face and she passed away in the fall of '85. Never thought I'd see it on youtube. Thanx for the memories. Too bad we never saw much of Linda Gray after Dallas.

  • @dino2002cat too right, the only scene from dallas my grandma remembered was this one...

  • This is scene is very disturbing, but the one that really gets me to the point where I can barely watch it is when Sue Ellen is in the drunk ward, crawling on the floor, screaming and passes out. Linda Gray deserved an Emmy for this role.

  • Sad that this never happened. What was Pam doing dreaming of Sue Ellen so much!

    ;-)

  • I vividly remember seeing this when it originally aired! What a memorable scene.

  • Alcoholism is terrible

  • jeez, dont drink the whole freaking bottle

  • @hpmc9.., ~ LOL...she's hogg'n the poor folk's only luxary - ThunderBird !

  • Maybe Lindsay Lohan should play Sue Ellen in any Dallas remake. No acting required.

  • @forexrobots212 ... LMAO !!!! -

  • I always hated this episode because of this scene. I was VERY young when Dallas was made and this scene had me scared to death I'd end up that way. Thank God I didn't.

  • LINDA GRAY RULES!!!

  • She looked like George Best on a good day.

  • Wow, Linda Gray really could act, couldn't she??

  • How often does Sue Ellen hit the bottle?

  • I admire Linda Gray for her portayal here. Its just really too bad none of this counted since it was all a dream. The best Sue Ellen, except for when she nails JR from getting Westar.

  • It was admirable to see Sue Ellen's slow recovery from detox all the way to cancer research chief fundraiser. But, alas, it was all a dream, and Sue Ellen was back to square one in the following season opening.

  • this is HOT!

    :-)

  • When the bag lady says "The bottom of the bottle sweetie...Just like me" it really freaks me out for some reason....And when Sue Ellen runs away and then returns, parched and dying for an alcoholic drink....It's so disturbing.

  • Even though this was the "dream" season, it is still one of the most powerful scenes in TV history, IMO. this should be in any "top 100" scenes list.

  • should be used foe aa

  • your right.

  • Linda Gray's best performance on the show - bar none!

  • That's the truth about alcoholism. It's horrendous.

  • @Yangedd That lady thats talking to Sue Ellen reminds of that lady, ( A.K. A. Peeny Wise ) In the movie it, when she says, " Your at the bottom of the bottle "

  • Gotta love the bag lady; dirty face but very clean and clear glasses LOL! Always did love the way Sue Ellen walked; she had this way of walking and shimmying.

  • This drunk tramp is worth millions but is so loaded she can't figure how to call a cab to get home.

  • @Srd1126 If they post the beginning of the episode, her car and purse were stolen....So she had no means by which to call a cab unless she hocked her ring. JR had been so cruel to her that Southfork was off limits to her so what was she supposed to do?

  • @westnar1 for starters not be a slut and a lush, by this point JR was right to disown her.

  • @Srd1126 If you watch the beginning of the series JR has been a habitual pain and for so many seasons up to this point Sue Ellen coped with by having affairs and alcohol...JR was not right! His cruelty and her low self esteem is to blame. Those factors make the disease ALCOHOLISM very powerful...He dad was a drunk and she became a drunk.

  • @westnar1 To me, this was one of the best episodes/scenes in Dallas (only to be tossed aside as Pam's dream). The first half of the 1985-86 "Dream" season was great. They dealt well with the "Bobby's dead" issue and moved right into classic Dallas plots revolving around control of Ewing Oil and the famed JR/Pam rivalry. Southfork finally received a much needed redecoration which gave it more of a luxurious look similar to Dynasty, which had finally replaced Dallas as the #1 show the prior season

  • Can you imagine the germs on that bottle?!

Love Sue Ellen - the best thing on the show!

  • this clip is from the dream season

  • germs are the least of the problem, but at least she hit her bottom no way out til you realize that.

  • @PrettyBlackKitty007

    Alcohol kills germs.

  • @PrettyBlackKitty007 No germs, the alcohol killed them all. lol

  • @PrettyBlackKitty007 I'm thinking the same thing . I guess this is what it's like to be a hardcore drunk , because I know I a guy I worked with that said he needed something to drink as soon as he woke up before anything and had a friend tell me he probably gets the shakes .

  • excellent, I love sue ellen then katherine wentworth

  • Can someone tell me what season is this episode from?

  • Season 8 (season 9 on dvd).

  • season 8 was the dream season so technically this didn't really happen right?

  • Technically it didn't happen at all, so Sue Ellen recovered during this season, but she was back to normal again in the next season drinking. They dealt with it then and she has been sober ever since.

  • It's from Season 8 (TV) and Season 9 (DVD)

  • @Yangedd I know! I really want to see which year those shoulder pads came from!!!

  • Linda Gray is actually one of the best actresses in Hollywood's history...I swear to God, no one could EVER play the Sue Ellen role better...it just wouldn't have been possible. The Cathy Podwell replacement was rediculous.

Sue Ellen in season 2 thru 6 is (especially season 3) is "Academy Award perfection".

  • You are so right. And she was absolutely beautiful, too- still is.

  • a great actress, sue ellen was the most interesting character on DALLAS

  • She really was--not just one dimensional.

  • did you know that was angelina jolie playing the drunken woman?

  • I remember that we were playing on this scene in nursery school when we've seen this on TV :D (teachers were just wondering)

  • This was Linda Gray's best ever performance in Dallas. So unreal seeing Sue Ellen drinking with the winos

  • poor sue ellen shes like a homeless drunk.

but this was the dream season so ... (:

    <3

  • That means none of this happened??

  • nope none of this happend.(:

    it was pamela`s dream.

  • that's sad.

  • pam should write a book about her dream

  • excellent.

  • C'est vraiment gratiné trop fort et vraiment excellent. Tout simplement. Super.

  • lol, this is awful

  • Isn't it 'accepts'? Not meanting to sound picky or anything :) Love Sue Ellen xx
