  • This video is misleading, since there is an entire stage of the deer tick life cycle missing. That would be the part where the adult tick looks for a deer to feed on before dropping off and laying eggs, often in the fall. This video gives the impression that only mice are involved. Larvae and nymphs require mice and chipmunks, but the adult stages require deer before laying eggs. The clock actually starts ticking when the adult tick finds a deer to feed on.
