John McCain is not the toughest man alive. He wasn't even the toughest man in the 2008 election. He caved in to the right wing of the Republican Party and selected a running mate solely due to ideology -- and perhaps hormones (which is remarkable for a man his age). Barack Obama stood up to that right wing, called them (and McCain) the liars and failures that they are, and beat them. Any heroism he has ever had, he has thrown away many times.
Sarah Palin has had a real job. Mcain Biden bo Hillery are all over gloried jury duty picks except in jury duty you can not vote present. Now at least caroline is more qualified than bo to work at mcdonalds but rest assured that the both had free lunches there hole life.
I wonder how much money it will cost caroline kennedy for the senate seat.
mccain will crush the young ignorant obama in the debates and in the election obama will lose. Obama is a liberal with very far left ideas that would hurt our economy even more. Mccain is americans last hope
I have been a republican for the last 20 years and I admire and respect Mccain, but I think this time I'll vote for Obama. Why? Because electing Mccain would be a big risk to choosen as the president of the most powerful nation in the world an old man, who could die at any moment, leaving the country in total distress.
Do you know how old his mother is and how tough he is. He has survived much and served much to get here and he will make more positive change for our country since he already knows how to reach across the isle for support. We need his leadership now. There are way too many questions about Obama's lack of experience and lack of accomplishments. Why go with a dangerous alternative when we have someone that we can trust to do what is good for our country?
I would rather go with a man who has grass roots organizing experience and common sense than one who is old, does not have a grasp on the issues and clearly caught up in illegal wars that make the world more dangerous.
How does his mother's age weigh into this at all? A vote for McCain is a vote for his VP and Palin is definitely not experienced enough to lead. Go 3rd party, neither Obama nor McCain are the right choice, though I do admit that I am slightly more in favor of Obama and don't try to dissuade me with that Secret Muslim Terrorist Crap, that was just embarrassing.

Many great leaders and commanders were well into their 60s and 70s when they reached the finest moments of their lives and careers: General Douglas MacArthur, Winston Churchill, Ronald Reagan, Ben Franklin, FDR, and others.
John McCain survived five and a half years in a POW camp and survived unthinkable brutality.
They broke his arms but John McCain's American spirit could not be broken.
Just because he was POW doesn't make him qualified to be president. The older the man the wiser to an extant, but wisdom does not help when your on your deathbed, I don't mean to offend but it is a fair argument of McCain's age. If Palin becomes president were going to war with Russia and everything will go to hell. Palin is far to inexperienced to even be VP.
He is not on his deathbed yet. I think he will make it for all 8 years since he has proved his toughness and his mother has proved family longevity. Then Palin will be well experienced. I've often voted 3rd party if you are really not comfortable, but I cannot consider someone with less military and executive experience than Sarah.
If you look at the figures a man of mccain's age who has been through skin cancer has a low chance of long-term survival and a high chance of developing cancer again. this is not to say that he will definitely get cancer though. but he's not in the best of health. if he's been tortured he's psychologically scarred and cannot lead. if he's lying about the torture (and his medical records are sealed) then he can't lead. Palin knows nothing. Obama destroyed mccain in the debates, Fact.

The older the wiser is the man.
This is true then, and this is true now.
