I saw jack rose play in cambridge, ma on this tour, if this is from when he opened for Grails and Om. I had never heard of him before and he walked on stage quiet and unassuming with out a word and began to play kensington blues and the entire room fell silent nearly instantly. It's a moment I'm not likely to ever forget.
Sad news for someone so young. I spoke to him the last time he played at the Portland in Cambridge, UK. He was quite bemused when I told him I loved listening to his tracks when I am planting and tending vegetables at our alloment. Lovely man, wonderful talent. xx
there are 2 songs in this video: the 1st is called "dusty grass" and the 2nd is "levee". both will be featured on an upcoming dvd to be released in 2010.
i can't believe we have lost such a colossal talent and such a great person.
This is the show I would've gone to but I said "Nah, I'll see him later." Fuck.

I met Jack in 1996 when I was 19 and I helped Pelt get an in store show at Twisted Village. I was in awe then, just as I am now. RIP, Jack.
