When I'm trying to run this game the menu is slow as hell. I decreased all the settings but to no avail. My specs are yours with 3gb ram and 256 mb graphics. What's the problem?

@secret850 Depends , whats the Name of the video card? . Anything over an Nvidia Geforce6600 or and Ati x700 should run it . But those are the minimum, you will be able to play it with a geforce6600 or atix700 but probably on the lowest settings.But ofcourse your processor and memory will have to be enough for the too. If you have an Integrated graphics chipset, then it probably wont play so well, it might "run" but would be terribly laggy.

When i play and try to chat to people. I press the @ button but it comes up with a black box with green lines. I chat but doesn't show in-game. :( Anyway would the Hammer of Dawn work on this mission?

I did it... I had a P4 651 3.2ghz HT processor with an ATI X1650XT, 2 gigs of ddr400 ram and some oldschool LGA 775 chipset on an MSI mini ATX board. It was kickin' Hamachi style.

It's alright, going by the Xbox 360 version, but not amazing by any standards.

It is a very clunky and slow game, it is short (only 6 levels each about an hour long) with a pretty anti-climatic plot. The un-skippable cutscenes are tedious to say the least.

To be honest, I'd rather play classic Doom than Gear of War. I'm also not a Halo fan but any Halo is better than Gears.

If you want cover-shooting fun, I suggest Uncharted 1 or 2, both are much more rounded games.

This game is VERY addicting, the single player is short, the multiplayer is nothing special except maybe the cover. But this game is all about rushing and getting up close, if you don't like to get up close don't buy it.

yeah, the game works a little bit better than my video (you have 128MB more than me). I can play COD4, Kane & Lynch, Crysis and UT3 on my laptop (but not at full settings). Just compare the specs.

dude yahoo answers is full of idiots. i have an 8400m gs 256mb but it is ddr2 which is worse than the ddr 3 that you get in dells. however i play every game on my laptop (except crysis , it works but it lags at some parts because of my shit cpu) but i enjoy cod 5 on everything high ,antialiasing on 4x , and low res and it looks nice and clean and works really well, and since youd get ddr 3 it would be much better

hmm, maybe the problem is a windows task process that slows the game, close all the processes that you don't use. Update your video card driver to Forceware 177.41, is the better driver for GF 8400M GS. And if still doesn't run... try updating your operating system. Good luck!
