  • Am not sure whether she means tea-spoon or table-spoon. Does look like tbsp?

  • @PhantomAct - Most of the ingredients are tea-spoon except for oil. You can check out the recipe on my website shebasrecipes followed by the dot com

  • @sfehmi you must have huge tsp's and tbsp's then!!

  • what if i dont have an oven??

  • @khubani1 you can still use the recipe to cook it on the stove

  • @sfehmi

    thanks for your kind reply

did the method will remain same?

    i mean the oven part?

  • @khubani1 ....

you can layer the rice and chicken in a normal pot. after layering put the lid on tightly. then lower the flame as much as you can. let it steam for at least 15 to 20 mins. your biryani is ready... :D

  • @MJKAKAR thank you so much for guiding me

  • Salam Sheba Aapa...In case you don't have oven, how do you prepare any of the biryanis?

  • what if i dont have an oven prouve dish...what do i do then?...and what about the temperature?

  • @dew000 - Use any of your pot cover it well and put it in the oven. Be careful when you take it out, and do not directly put it on a counter else you may burn the counter or table.

  • This is a FANTASTIC video. For some reason I never thought to use the juices from a tomato to cook chicken or any other kind of protein. Could you use this technique for other fruits and vegetables with others meat? How about fish?

  • one hting I like about you cooking that you dont put too much oil, because Indian food like this can get too oily!

  • what is so difference in this recipie,, its the sam way ppl cook it.

  • i have never see someone bake a briyani (ridiculus) and this is NOT the quick and fastest briyani recipe, plus the fried onion has ALOT of oil....wow!

  • Ciao,

I was told to visit...by someone who commented on my channel..you are so informative...it looks delicious.

  • You are taking the mystery out of Indian food for me. Biryani (Lamb especially) is one of my favorite Indian dishes. :)

  • Real nice! and straight forward recipe

  • Well done aunty... i wish i could eat it...

im an international student and i miss my home cooked food :S

  • i tried this recipe on a sunday before picnic. I was done in like say 45 mins totally and it turned out really really delicious. And so easy!!! Thanks a ton for this wonderful recipe.

  • you make me hungry

  • beautiful! I must try this.

  • thank you aunty

  • can we half the recipe- use less rice- say 1.5 cups rice?

  • yes you can. Simply reduce proportionately. If you are going to use 1.5 cups instead of 2 then reduce every thing by 1/4

  • Thank you. I thought you meant 2 cups of uncooked rice because 3 cups of uncooked rice is a lot of rice for 1 pound of chicken.

Can we used the prepared "biryani masala" that they sell in stores rather than garam masala?

  • If you plan to use Biryani Masala then you do not want to use anything else. Just follow the instructions on the Biryani Masala box and that is it. If you meant to say Garam Masala available in store. Yes you can use that. Please do not use all the spices that I showed in the video and also the Biryani Masala.

  • excellent technique....

  • Excellent, please keep it up. Simplicity and intelligent modulation moved me.

  • Thanks

  • Yes - the chicken is cooked and ready to go at the time when it is layered with rice.

Thx. I am glad the fish curry came out well for you.

  • Is the chicken cooked when we layer it with the rice? And btw excellent recipe!! I will surely try it. I also tried your fish curry with dahi, and we loved it!

  • I've only grown up eating Bombay Biryani and when I viewed your other video, I had the impression that that was what you were cooking! This is beautiful biryani and I will certainly try the recipe!

  • your instructions are simple, i like that you dont complicate your biryanis.. im looking forward to trying this out. thanks for the recipes!

  • nice job

  • They do look frozen.

  • You have pretty good observation. Yes I grow my own and freeze those.

  • looks yumyyyyyyyyy. is your tomato frozen!?
