  • СЛАВА РУСИ!!!!

  • Beautiful song, even though I don't understand the lyrics. Makes me want to learn Russian.

  • Fedor

  • The music was not written by Pelageya. This is a folk song. The story is almost 350 years old - this is a legend about a dream of a Volga kossak Stepan Razin he'd seen in his sleep before he was captured and executed. Pelageya's performance of this song is one of the best I've ever heard!

  • can you send me the song in an email or something :D?

  • Beautifull...

  • :'(

  • @ladylazarus9 me too

  • I can't find it anywhere. I can only find the album "girl songs" by Pelageya, but never this song. Was this released on a movie soundtrack, maybe? Do you know the album name?

  • @EilisM

I found the album on Amazon. It is the second song on an import album called Tropy.

  • You can search by Pelageya. The nam of the song is Oy, da ne vecher.

  • do you know the name of the album this is on or where I can download this song? It is amazing!

  • Oh, it wasn’t the evening, wasn’t the evening…

Oh, I slept so little, I slept so little

    Oh, a dream appeared

I slept so little, oh, a dream appeared

  • Oh, it wasn’t the evening, wasn’t the evening… Oh, I slept so little, I slept so little Oh, a dream appeared. I slept so little, oh, a dream appeared. In the dream… It was as if my raven-black steed Ceased playing, ceased prancing, Oy, he wailed over me Ceased playing, ceased prancing, Oy, he wailed over me Oh, the cruel winds flew down, From the east . They snatched the dark cap From off my mighty head. They snatched the dark cap From off my mighty head.

  • Russia the best. This is number one country in the world !!!!!

  • This is very old Russian Folk song, There is even one English variant. I will put the link here when I find it. The song is really beautifull, it is about Russian soul, endless russian stepppes ( fields ) about the life. He sleeps and sees the night dream....
