The F-117 was old stealth technology, it couldn't maneuver for shit because it wasn't a fighter, and it had no missile warning receiver which gave the pilot about 6 seconds to visually spot the missile. @kalx007 come on...how can you compare a MiG 31 with an F16. the mig is an interceptor purposely built for more defensive reasons while the f16 sole purpose is to be a fighter. and i doubt a F16 could bring down a Mig31 since the mig might have a pretty bigger radar systems (by pretty bigger i mean vast).
also you cant compare the SU35 with the F15 on air-air kills alone. as you put yourself only 18 have been built and i don't think they've seen much action yet do you?
@kalx007 The mighty MiG 29 inferior to the F14? Dont get me wrong i love the F14 but the fulcrum is in an entirely different class. It is closer in capabilities to the F15 than to the F14. Some even say that it can hold its own in a fight against a F15. Othervise the USA wouldn't bother buying out the Moldovian MiG 29 fleet (which i think they used for fighter training as well but im not ompletely sure).
The only thing i'm not going to argue about are the tanks because i have no clue about them.

@kalx007 yeah many migs have been shot down, mainly due to poor pilot training or very poor maintenance. And mig 29s shot down some planes even though not many (mainly mig 21s and 23s) but you would expect that since only russia had really capable mig pilots and russia didn't get in to any wars with any major air forces (afghan air force, georgian ari force,....?).

Mig 29, by Russian standards, is a light fighter. If you were to compare the F-15 and F-14 with anything Russian, then I guess, the Su-27 and Su-33 (as well, as MiG-31, to some extent) would be the more fitting aircraft.

Furthermore i believe that in the competition, which produced both the mig 29 and the su 27 both aircraft scored so similarly that they couldn't distinguish a clear winner. so out of respect for both design bureaus they choose both but for slightly different purposes. from this point of view you therefore can compare the mig 29 and the f15 since the su27 and the mig29 are comparable between themselves.

It was clear from the beginning on, that the Su-27 is too expensive, in order to be produced in amounts needed to replace all of Tu-128s, Su-15s, MiG-21s AND MiG-23s. So, a light combat aircraft, with less sophisticated radar and smaller weapons load emerged. However, the most interesting part is that Su-27 is fly-by-wire, while the baseline MiG-29 isn't.

Really good helicopter, but the AH-64 Apache has proven many times that it is the best of the best, taking it to the first place every time in comparison to any other helicopter's.

That chopper is so cool. Personally, i like it more then KA-52, and i don't understand why army choose to use KA-52 as a main army helicopter instead of this one. It looks way more modern then KA.
true that this helicopter is better than the Apache Longbow, but the Apache is still better than the Ka-52. Nice vid, but the music didn't really fit that well in MY opinion.
ITs slighty slower than KA-50 but still faster than the AH-64.
The thing is that the MI-28 is far more protected and armoured than the AH-64..
I dont know how they compare in terms of agility..i thing the Apache is more agile.. in avionics they are at same level, same with weapons (only that MI-28 can carry more dangerous AA weapons than Apache can as today , example: Archer) It would be an interesting fight.. agility vs speed/armour
Cool, but I prefer the twin-rotor myself in the KA-52 Hokum. This would be second for me. Twin rotors are more stable and versatile and provide more power and lift, essential in an attack helicopter.
This thing was designed to be a flying tank. After all, what says "YOU LOSE!" Better than a huge floating heavy weapons platform that can take whatever you can throw at it and laugh at you.
Most beatifull chopper ever (maybe the ka-50/52 also). And to the rest of world: This beast is gonna blow every chopper out of the sky. Whether the enemy is a Tiger, Apache, Commanche or Cobra. A russian Masterpiece.
Thats not ugly, the Ka-52 is ugly. Idouno what it is but I love this helicopter. I know it will never happen EVER but I"d love to these in the Canadian Military some day, anyway, I dout they were aiming for it to look pretty.
Apaches are for pussies. They army is not going to use them as they are using the cobra. the ah 64 was meant to take out enemies from long ranges with one missile and then fly away. nothing up close.

Su35 < F15E F15 has ca 130/0 air-air kill ratio
Mig29 < F14 F14 has about 160/1 air-air kill ratio
T72A < AbramsM1
not to mention, that only 18 su35-s have been built, while americans already have over 150 F22-s.

ITs slighty slower than KA-50 but still faster than the AH-64.
The thing is that the MI-28 is far more protected and armoured than the AH-64..
I dont know how they compare in terms of agility..i thing the Apache is more agile.. in avionics they are at same level, same with weapons (only that MI-28 can carry more dangerous AA weapons than Apache can as today , example: Archer) It would be an interesting fight.. agility vs speed/armour
