Hi @letsbefree102030, thanks for commenting. I couldn't agree more about the bullnose edge on the granite countertops. Not my preference either. You will only find it in a project where our clients specifically request it. I find clients of retirement age often prefer function, safety and comfort over more fashionable choices. The Lazy-boy sofas are a result of the same issue. Given the restraints, I think the project turned out well. The clients were and still are, extremely happy :-) RR

You have already added a level of class to youtube. Rebecca, have you ever watched many of the interior design videos on youtube? As far as I know, no one is doing it like you are. You make it personal, teach, inspire and motivate. the other ones are poor quality, out of date, stolen from HGTV, or 3D renderings not even real houses???. Thats pretty bold to leave town and fully trust you with their home. I'm assuming you were highly recommended for them to do that. Too bad you couldn't change the furniture. @cherryester Hey I can answer that one. I asked the same question on an older video. She said its a spray on lacquer that goes on transparent so the wood grain still shows through. Hey Rebecca did I get that right? lol

This view of your bedroom is so deco high glamor but the floors seem so rustic. What you have said about transition not withstanding do you have plans to change does the floor work with other views of the bedroom or is this mixing elements. On the remodel I absolutly love the displaycases on either side of the kitchen entrance. I have a problem with angled walls but you turned this into a plus. I wish you had shown more on transforming the hall of doors a walkthrough might have helped

oh my god it looked STUNNING! new living room and dining room furniture would have been fun, but you made it not look so bad in a new room. it almost made the furniture look completely different! i would have, however, liked to see them opt for new bedroom furniture, in a nice espresso, rather than keep their jersey style furniture they already had. lazyboys are always comfy, but updating their bedroom set really would have added something b/c it makes the room look unfinished.

Wow, the entrance to the kitchen is the best! It is so inviting, it flows with the rest of the room if that makes any sense. Ok, this is a first, I've never seen a two roll toilet paper beside the toilet before. Gotta love it!

I enjoy watching your work in progress. I am glad you taped your transformations even from four years ago... Though it is not financially practical for some to hire room designers simply because of the costs involved. It would be really nice to see more "How To" vids similar to the Hilton Hotel segment. Its amazing what a little moving around and some paint can do to a room.... Even us poe folk can do some fixin' like yous do.

I agree the condo would have been even better had we been able to purchase new furniture. However, the challenge of making their "Lazyboy" furniture look good in the new home was equally fun for me. It motivated me to find art pieces that would tie it all together and take the focus off the furniture pieces. I love to exceed my clients expectations and give them what they want... even if its not my taste. That's what takes talent! RR

I have a cathedral ceiling in my living room and am constantly looking for dcorating videos for inspiration on wall decorations. One corner is the fireplace next to the "normal height" wall with tons of windows. The skylighted ceiling slants up to the second story ceiling so I have no idea if or what I should hang on the walls ~ average pieces at eye level? giant vertical?? Do you have any videos showcasing cathedral ceilings? sigh.

Very nice, I like the the glass pantry and the mirrored hallway. Some new furniture in the bedroom would have been nice, but at least most of their other furniture worked.

Wow, the entrance to the kitchen is the best! It is so inviting, it flows with the rest of the room if that makes any sense. Ok, this is a first, I've never seen a two roll toilet paper beside the toilet before. Gotta love it!

I enjoy watching your work in progress. I am glad you taped your transformations even from four years ago... Though it is not financially practical for some to hire room designers simply because of the costs involved. It would be really nice to see more "How To" vids similar to the Hilton Hotel segment. Its amazing what a little moving around and some paint can do to a room.... Even us poe folk can do some fixin' like yous do.

Heres my plan as far as uploads go. 1-2 makeover vids per month... 2 how to's on a particular topic like paint selection, art placement, accessorizing etc.

What do I think??? You did good!!!!! Everything flows together now! I love the colors you chose! Amazing job on the kitchen! My husband and I have been doing home reno's for years and we just built our first home (for resale). The best part is; to be able to stand back and look at the final results! I agree the condo would have been even better had we been able to purchase new furniture. However, the challenge of making their "Lazyboy" furniture look good in the new home was equally fun for me. It motivated me to find art pieces that would tie it all together and take the focus off the furniture pieces. I love to exceed my clients expectations and give them what they want... even if its not my taste. That's what takes talent! RR

Genius! I can't believe that is all the same furniture~!
I have a cathedral ceiling in my living room and am constantly looking for dcorating videos for inspiration on wall decorations. One corner is the fireplace next to the "normal height" wall with tons of windows. The skylighted ceiling slants up to the second story ceiling so I have no idea if or what I should hang on the walls ~ average pieces at eye level? giant vertical?? Do you have any videos showcasing cathedral ceilings? sigh.
