  • pfffffffffffffff increible¡¡¡ custom shop??? 5000$/€ jajajajajaj lies?

  • i've been playing around with these $60 (used) guitars. they are'just as good' as the full-blown american $900 version once you set them and put good pickups in.

  • That's one nice Squire, I love them. It could cost $5.00 and your playing would make it sound sweet.

  • Very nice sound combined with excellent playing. This vid made me go purchase a guitar!

  • Great playing! Your ability makes that guitar sound really expensive.

  • smooth.....

  • hahaah lol this sound is a Fender strat standart 1000 dolar !

  • are Bullet Strats good project guitars? :)

  • @supermoserre Hell yeah

  • I just bought a bullet strat, ive learned to love these cheap guitars, you can just get so much character from them, I like to carry a guitar with me everywhere, so ive been playing cheaper models alot, all the road wear and bangs and such really give it a story, and I get as much satisfaction and joy from playing them as I do from one of my expensive guitars. As they say, the best guitar is the one you have on you.

  • Not so surprising man, We brought our guitarist a bullet strat for Php3,000 (about $68) and its great :) it's in usable condition, relic'd. Here's a video of me playing it :) h ttp :// on. fb. me/ zMeZB1 (delete the spaces)

  • the reason why people hate this guitar is because mainly beginers buy it begginers dont know how to get a nice tone or adjust intonation and play horribly bad i had a squier i played it when i was a begginer i sucked back then but like a month ago i used a squier bullet strat and i was impressed the one who sucked was me not the guitar even tho its a cheap guitar

  • How to optimize a squier bullet strat: - LEARN to adjust the INTONATION and ACTION for best tuning stability and playability (Tuners are fine) - Lubricate nut with big bends nut sauce or graphite for better tuning stability (Again, tuners are fine) - ADJUST the pickup height to your tonal liking - REPLACE STOCK ZINC TREMOLO BLOCK with a real STEEL or BRASS one (Which ever you prefer from Guitarfetish) - YOUR FINGERS. Keep playing. Better your tone.

  • i just ordered my apple red bullet strat :D i cant wait!! the price is zero compared to the guitar!

  • at home i have ibanez with active pickups high quality guitar that i'll be using for a loooong looong time ...maybe even forever. I bout my GF a bulletstrat for new year for 80 $ (her 1st guitar) ...and to be perfectly honest - i sound awesome on both guitars the awesome one and crappy one ...no difference - it's not the guitar it is the player

  • Hello, wow, your playing is ever so good!!! Well done!!! Could you please tell me what are you playing? Who is the author and the name of the song? Thank you very much! I really enjoy listening to it...

  • Are these stock pickups? The reason I ask is because the tone seems quite different from my bullet. I find your guitar tone mixes well with my violin bass tone but my own bullet seems to "thin" for my bass.

  • @finndigg gonna tell you a secret...if the tone is thin crank the bass and add a little reverb

  • Hello, stunning interpretation. perfect Please could send me the backing track for this video. Or where I can download from me. What is the title of the song?? Thanks in advance, Sincerely, Frank ..

  • can you send me tabs??? Nice playing ;)

  • Awesome playing .... thanks for the ride.

  • @AntitypeStudios

thank YOU for the kind words. glad you liked it.

  • This goes to show that it's not the guitar that makes the player.

  • The guitar is irrelevant, It's the guitarist that counts. A good guitarist can play a piece of crap guitar and make it weep or wale. This guy plays soulfully with feeling.

  • @TheDano1947

    thank you

  • @peskypesky Your welcome Mr.Clapton

  • I've listened to this song a bunch. Can't get over how good it is. I'd love to have this on my iPod.

  • @DrFrankensteam

Thank you for the nice comment. It warms my heart. I'll get you an mp3.

  • Good job peskym now if onlt that were an Agile 802

  • Sounds good, but your ability on a nice Fender or G&L would sound even better. I'm not denying that real musicians can make cheap instruments sound great, but they can make quality instruments sound even better. Dynamics would be more clear on better pickups, etc.

  • It's like the old Silvertone guitars that Sears sold back in the 70's, if you had one you were considered a joke. Funny how they sell for big bucks today and most can sound equal if not better than any high end guitar. Same with the amps.

Some people can even make a Teisco Tulip guitar cry. It has more to do with the player than the instrument. Nice playing...not overdone.

  • I went out and bought another one with different pickups. Now I have 2. Love em' both!

  • The Musician makes the blues - not the guitar :)

  • Wonderful dynamics, though I do wish you'd have opened it up a bit more. Still, great playing. Thanks for posting.

  • @vampyros1

thank you for the kind comments. :)

  • brb throwing my Fender Strat away going back to my Squire. btw what is the guitar plugged into?

  • @JuhaZiba

lol. "Recorded with a $99 Squier Bullet Strat, through a Line 6 Pod Studio UX1 and then into Garageband"

  • Thanks for this upload, I bought a bullet for approx. 90 $ today after listening to this and your other uploads yesterday. I really like the stock pick ups, they sound pretty fender-like to my ears.

  • This is amazing! I have a Squire Bullet too. A friend of mine says its garbage and I shouldnt look at a guitar under 500$ I think its the person playing the guitar not the guitar itself. I love my Bullet Strat...I'd definately buy another one for sure! Is there tabs for this song? Its incredible!

  • no matter how much the guitar is, depends on how good is the guitar player.

  • danm man you sound great!

  • @mikeydreadyouth

thank you. i appreciate the kind words. :)

  • @peskypesky your welcome, you set that bullet strat on fire man :)

  • i bought one of these as well, changed to strings to a medium gauge, plugged into a fender amp with reverb and its GREAT for blues, got a real nasty sound to it, id put it up to any fender anyday

  • great playing and who says that Squier guitars sound bad.....I got two Squier cv strats and I love them - perhaps I will buy a bullet (in pink) soon - the color is so hot!!!

  • @sabschmi classic vibes are known to sound better than most squiers.

  • @fenderkid6 I got a bullet now and I wouldn't say, that the cvs sound better but different (perhaps more as strats usually sound). The bulett sounds darker and not with that twang and high tones, that strats usually have. Perhaps it's the body's wood (here basswood, cvs alder) - and of cause the pickups. But the bulett is a really good guitar for less money.

  • Guitar doesn't ever matter... its how you play it!

  • Most excellent!

  • I m coming back to this...it is just amazing,,man,,,Thanks for sharing with us...

  • You can only play beautiful music when you know music language. See the guitar as a language platform,,,where chords are the vocabulary....tAnd believe me,,the more you know them,,how to combine them and make expressions,,lol,,then,,you can appreciate ,,what the guitar is..A lot of beginners think that they can play rightaway,,,it isnt that...learn,,your vocabulary,,practice,,and write music,,

  • i have this guitar and love it. i put it thru a bass amp and sounds even better.

  • I bet if the title was "Fender Stratocaster". We would believe it.

  • Sounds nice. Tasteful playing too.

  • WOW! You've just inspired me to go and pick up my bullet and start practising at midnight. I need to stop dreaming about getting better and buying a $2000 Fender and just practice more and actually learn how to play the guitar first.

Off to work on changing between barre and open chords for me then... lol

  • @MadddSkillzzz-You got that right. Actually had a Custom Shop Fender, and believe it or not, hated it. Had all the relic stuff on it and everything, but it did not play worth a hoot. My experience is, if you have a good guitar, you can tell as soon as you pick it up and play a few notes with it unplugged. Cannot explain it. Have a Mexican Telecaster that I am gonna be buried with, it has so much character sonically, is a shame.

  • Lol whats the song of the bluess??

  • As ussual, music is on the hands of the player, not in the price of the instrument. Say no more.

  • dude, no matter what friggin guitar is that, you sound AMAZING.

  • @SeriousSwitch

thank you. i appreciate the nice words. :)

  • I can tell thats a cheapie. Attention K-Mart shoppers. LOL

  • I just picked up one of these and it has very good smooth sound, low frequencies aren't the best but there good

Played much beter than the squire stratocaster

  • nice one... you plaz realy good

  • @IbanezGRGRFreak

the Bullet was 100% stock. No mods. I bught if for my GF's son for Xmas. i've since bought 2 Bullets for myself.

  • @peskypesky ha.. I think I read one of your reviews in one of the music store webpages. I ordered one bullet based on your review but with HSS. Thank you. Your music is great!!

  • @wksoh

thanks for the kind words, and i hope you're enjoying the Bullet.

  • Dont care if you have a 99 dollar or a 5000 dollar guitar. Tone comes from playing well. A great guitarist could probably make a cheap guitar sound great. Trust me, went down the road buying every guitar in sight, trying to sound like the next Clapton or Hendrix, and overlooked that tiny aspect of knowing how to play a guitar in the first place. Bought sense is the best sense...

  • @monkymonk6 I've read so many comments by people on YT who are not REAL musicians who are blinded by the price of an instrument or it's brand. It was refreshing to read what you wrote! I agree with you fully!

  • @monkymonk6 A good guitarist can play a $40 plastic guitar and make it sound like a million bucks.

  • @wicky615 Yes thats the point that most gear whores dont get.If your fingers arent trained properly then the most expensive gear sounds like shit in your hands.Hands-amp-effects-pickups-guitar thats the order in getting a good tone.Hands are always first and play the most important part.

  • @wicky615 hahahahaa! $40 plastic guitar ?

  • @monkymonk6 It's true. Too many people get Custom Shop guitars and think they can play. Still, the most important thing is the feel. Personally I don't care what grade of wood has been used and what the grain looks like. If the feel is right you can give all you have. I had a Bullet that wasn't well made, sent it back, bought an even cheaper guitar and loving it.

  • @monkymonk6 It's just that cheap guitars sometimes have bad intonation, dead notes and thin sound

  • that guitar in the picture is pretty much mine except add a dimarzio evo pickup and there you go

  • I hear a little of Blue Veins by the Raconteurs here :D

  • @Mossobaadi

    hmm...never heard that song i don't think.

  • I was going to get a electric or an acoustic electric guitar and wasn't sure If i should get the Epiphone Les Paul Jr. Single Cut Electric Guitar from guitar center or the Squier Bullet Strat with Tremolo from music and arts. they are both $119.99 and do not come with amps. So which one? they both look nice. Another thing i, I need an amp and was thinking of the fender frontman 15g or 10g, are there any better ones? for 70$?

  • @timothyga01

if you want a Les Paul style, i highly recommend you check out the Agile guitars from Rondo music.

  • @peskypesky Rondo music on 22? they still exist?

  • @timothyga01 i just got rid of my peavey vypyr 15w because i got a half stack not but those are $100 but sound super good

  • @timothyga01 I would get a Fender frontman anp really good amps and guitar wise go to rondo music.com and get an sx stat I have one and It's as good as a MIM Fender and sounds like one too.The build quality is good also they come playable set up out of the box,you can get one for 100.00 better than any Squier.Rondo music has good quality gear too I own 2 guitars from rondo that are great an SX SST57 3/4 strat and a Douglas halo (Gibson explorer copy),Check out the reviews here for them

  • Couldn't put my finger on it at first, but your tone, playing and the arrangement remind me of David Gilmour.

  • @icitnow

several other have said the same thing.

  • @eagle8520

just remember this: every Squier, especially the Bullets, need proper set-up! The truss rod needs to be properly adjusted. The action needs to be set and the guitar needs to be intonated. after doing a set-up, they usually do not disappoint.

  • This guitar has not been modded at all? Come on! Wow! Actually pretty unbelievable sound there. I am thinking about buying one of these from a friend for 100-new as a 2nd guitar, but all the reviews say "don't get the Bullet version-low output PUPs, low quality hardware etc. This one sounds really really good!

  • @icitnow

I know a lot of people find it hard to believe, but I made that recording with a 100% stok sunburst Squier Bullet. I bought it Xmas 2008 for my ex-GF's son. i was so blown away by it that i bought two more Bullets, for myself!

  • @peskypesky Holy cow! It sounds excellent and makes me feel better about buying the guitar from my friend! Hey, I forgot to say-very very great playing!! Nice! I really like the amount of "dirt" you have on your tone. That Line 6 Studio is really great too! Thanks!

  • i like ur tone...beautiful sound.

  • @kartman74usa

    thank u

  • Gotta love Squiers. I had the choice to either buy a Fender, or mod my Squier, and I chose to keep my Squier and mod it. It plays as good or better than any Fender I've played, and it sounds, at least to me, better than anything short of a Custom Shop Fender

  • @floydfan831 wich model u have? it cames with rosewood or maple neck? thx.....ohh i forget it...how much it cost u and what kind of pups u put on it? thx....

  • @kartman74usa I'm going to have to answer this piece by piece

    Body- 2007 Squier Affinity Strat

Neck- 2008 Squier Bullet Strat- Maple neck w/ Rosewood fingerboard

    Bridge- Mid 80s Fender Strat

    Pickups- Lace Sensor Hot Golds

This is its current configuration, though it has also had its stock neck (vintage Fender large headstock maple neck w/rosewood finger board) and a Squier 51 neck (identical to a Telecaster neck maple neck/maple fingerboard) all of which played smoothly

  • @kartman74usa And, you asked how much it cost. The bullet Strat cost abut $99 when I bought it, the Affinity was about $130. The pups ran about $180 (well worth it) and after a few cosmetic mods, the total project cost me about $350.

  • @floydfan831

yeah, i'm pretty much all about modded Squiers.

  • @peskypesky Every guitar I own is a modded Squier. My Strat, my Squier 51, hell, even my acoustic

  • @floydfan831

i'm with you. i absolutely LOVE my modded Bullets.

  • Sounds alot like SRV.

  • @EyezaGotSKILLZ

thank you. i can only dream of sounding like one of my heroes. maybe being from Texas helps.

  • what amp and effects you have?

  • That chirping drone at 00:52 was pure honey gold.

  • Real nice work! I definitely heard the Pink Floyd sound right away. :-)

  • @itsbrad212

funny. i get that a lot. i don't consider myself a big Floyd/Gilmour fan. i like them but i'm not a fanatic. guess their influenced just seeped in over the years. :)

  • I guess walmart does sell good guitars:D

  • @raynod256

    Wal-mart sells Squiers?

  • @peskypesky The Wal-Mart by me used to sell Made in Mexico Fender Strats and Telecasters along with Epiphone Les Pauls and Dots before 2005.

  • @raynod256 It does, however, not sell good guitarists. :]

  • I wonder how this ended up in Recommended :]

  • Bwahaha, I wa just going to say that Bullets are probably the best cheap guitars for this price range and that they're practically stratocasters by body when I noticed peskypesky as the name on it. Squier-talk / strat-talk much? Excellent playing man, have a Hot Rails Deluxe one myself, can't play like this though...way to show what a guy with awesome skills and a lovely basic git-fiddle can do for music.

  • @edito777

lol. so you know me from Strat-Talk and Squier-Talk? i think i've visited those forums a couple of times. :)

thanks for the kind words. you know i love me some Squiers.

  • Cool! Where did you get the backingtrack?

  • @OdinMan1979

    guitarbackingtrack

  • @OdinMan1979

    guitarbackingtrack

    dotcom

  • @peskypesky What backingtrack exactly?? There are a lot of them!

  • Sounds cool :D

I have one, but here in Ukraine I paid 208 bucks for it

  • great song, where can I get this song??????

  • Very Nice & Cool Blues Playing, My Friend!! Is That The Very Lowest Priced Fender Squier Affinity Strat? I Have & Own The Affinity Strat Too Myself!!

    - Big Will :)

  • @BigWillieWillHom

the Affinity is more expensive than the Bullet. Bullets are $119, I think Affinitys are like $179. the guitar you hear in this video is the Bullet, the lowest on the Squier totem pole.

  • @peskypesky , Ok, Thanks For Telling Me That, My Friend!! I Really Appreciate It Alot!! Stay Blessed & Have A Great & Wonderful Week, My Good Friend!!

    - Big Will :)

  • I have the exact same guitar as you have :3

Same color too, as described in your "side" bar (not a 'side' bar anymore :P)

The neck of mine is like the color of pinewood, but I know it isn't because it feels much sturdier than that :3

Now if only I could play it...

  • My School just bought a bunch of new Bullet Strats, I didn't have my guitar on me that day, picked up one, it sounded great, I would pay 2x the money for the sound EASILY. I have a Gibson SG, but I prefer this!

  • Damn nice guitar. Looking for one in The Netherlands. This music sounds kinda like Pink Floyd.

  • @raptory0 I'm from the netherlands, and I'm buying one soon, probably I'll buy it from thomann.de/nl/fender_squier_bullet_strat_hss_bundle.htm

  • @raptory0

thanks for the PF comparison. its funny because i don't think of myself as a big Floyd or Gilmour fan, but maybe his influence seeped in over the years....

  • @peskypesky Most probably PF comparisson comes from the fact that PF solos have very strong and obvious blues inspiration :D

  • @raptory0 If you are looking for a cheep guitar of superbe quality/sound do like me and take Yamaha 112V! I got it as a secondary guitar and finish playing it all the time. I have to say that it's bypassing the quality of a normal standard american strat. It is also extremely playable because of the type of neck and radius...

  • @raptory0 als je er 1 zoekt moet je ff op musicstore. c o m kijken ;) is een duitse site kan je em zo laten overkomen!

  • If you are good to play... you could make everything with 10$ guitar too ..

  • what is the name of the fxxxx song mates???

Sheap guitars can indeed play well and sound great!

    this is a nice job!

  • @levisiccard

it's just me soloing over some backing track i found on the interweb.

  • hey you used a touch of reverb ? what amp models and effects did you use if im going to buy this guitar i want mines to sound like that lol

  • @hugokickfeen89

i played through a Line 6 UX1 Pod Studio UX1 into GarageBand on my Mac. Used the Fender Bassman amp model (large tweed) and a bit of reverb.

  • Ah, what a sound... :)

  • Wow, nice!

  • i just ordered this guitar i plan on swapping the strings and tuners. it sounds pretty gd stock. would you recommend changing pickups for better quality?

  • @BigStacks18

the stock pickups can sound quite good. that's what you hear in this video. but i've upgraded all my Bullets with alnico pickups. Current faves are D Allen Pickups.

  • once again, sweet groove pesky! When are you gonna sell me that Bullet bro? LOL (Strat-toter)

  • hey man im thinking bout getting this guitar but the one with hss pickups whats the difference?

  • damn. squier strats really dont sound bad if u know how to set them up. i got one when i was 14, im 18 and still haven't got a new guitar...well...that could be cuz i dont got any money lmao

  • @simsdogg92

you don't need a new guitar. just mod the one you have.

  • You shoud have taken a sunburst with rosewood neck :) Nice playing I'm going to buy ma 2d bullet tomorrow, I don,t know waht color I can take...

  • This is a testament to the fact that it does not matter what you play it's how you play it that makes it sound beautiful. Rock on man!

    P.S I love my squier! :p

    R.I.P Stevie.

  • @mike05890589

glad to hear from another Squier fan! "A Squier rules. Fenders are for fools." jk

  • @peskypesky (sorry for my broken english)

HEy I'm also huge squier fan! I use Standard P-bass and I love it great bass, and I will buy bullet "daphne blue" strato in october.. and of course my dreams are squier xD Pete wentz p-bass and telecasters and more just I need more money XD, yeah the fenders are not too good I have theory squier vs fender, I made Hungarian Squier Club at iwiw (hungarian facebook), I have 6 member XD

    Cheers from Hungary!

    Squier rules!!!!!!!!

  • @Togyertibor

Good to meet another Squier fan!! I have a good friend who's Hungarian. Originally from Budapest but now lives in LA. He told me Hungarians love American blues music.

  • Comment removed

  • SRV - RIP

  • Great blues jam!

  • @aichan86

    thanks :)

  • what is the maximum price of the squier strat?

  • @Cheapooo

the Bullets start at $119 new. The Custom Vibes are #349. There's a bunch of models in-between.

  • @Cheapooo

the Bullets start at $119. The Classic Vibe Strats are $349. ther's a bunch of models in-between.

  • Very nice! Have you got any notes or tabs for this song? (For guitar of course)

  • @fux00r

it's just me soloing over a backing track i found somewhere on the web.

  • @fux00r

    nah, its all improvised

  • blues? --'' whit some efects you can get a damn heavy sound whit this guitar....

  • @RussLW really? thats the first i hear of rosewood affinity. thats awesome ive just never seen one and i was told they didnt make them

  • Very nice! What's the name of the songs? Do you have the tabs for it? Thanks!

  • I don't think the problem with these guitars is so much the materials or workmanship as the setup. I got one of these for one of my kids and the strings were a mile from the frets. After some adjustment it was an Ok machine. The Marshall amp was better than I expected for what I paid.

  • @sibco96

absolutely. they will almost certainly need a set-up. i've bought three Bullets and all needed a set-up. but afterwards they are really nice.

  • Good solo.

  • I actualy believe this is a squier classic vibe 50's strat. I own one myself, and it looks exactly the same. Great guitar for it's price btw!

  • @MrSkAtEfReAk12

yeah, i sort of screwed up by using the wrong photo. i played this on a stock sunburst Bullet.

  • @MrSkAtEfReAk12

That ain't a Classic Vibe, that's definitely a Fender. I can tell mainly by the bridge, because Squier's vintage trems seem to be different dimensions (compare pictures of Squier and Fender trems, you'll see - the saddles are narrower on the Squier)

Also, the pickups/knobs on the Squier are less yellow, and look at the neck heel - you can barely just see the truss rod adjustment nut peeping out. The Squier has a headstock-adjusting nut.

    I really want a CV50's, they're cool :)

  • Also, check the body. The woodgrain definitely looks like ash, whereas the Classic Vibes are made with alder, which has less prominent grain.

The CV Strats definitely look like amazing guitars, I'm saving for one :3

  • @EJRocky Wow, you really know alot about guitars man! I'm only a noob in comparison to you, so to me, it really looked like a Squier CV50's.

And yes, they are indeed extremely cool, and no doubt about it, the best strat for the money. It's propably the best purchase I've ever done!

  • @MrSkAtEfReAk12

    Ha, thanks.

I find myself wanting one really badly. I love that whole fifties vibe. I'd love to call it a budget replica of a first year '54, but it's made of alder, and they didn't start using that until '56. So it's based on a '56 at the earliest. 54-55 they were made of ash.

Sorry, I'm just showing off now, haha. But yeah, I hope it's not just hype. I've heard they rival American Fenders :)

  • @EJRocky Damn, you know alot! :)

And no, it's not just a hype, trust me. The CV50 sounds way better than mex strats, and almost as good as the american. The neck plays really well, and the pickups are really quiet. The only thing I don't really like is the tremelo, because it comes loose when you use it too much, wich is kind of annoying. It does stay in tune pretty well though.

But whatever, I don't really use the tremelo anyway, so to me, it's a perfect guitar.

    I'd definitly recommend it!
