thats because of his deformed legs that s also the reason because he looked not so tall like in earlier years ! that s is the result of acromegaly ! he can t stand straight anymore !!! he was so tough to step into the ring til he died ! andre we love you !!! thanks for all !!!
Would have loved to have seen andre & baba wrestle each other a dozen years earlier. Andre would have been 100 pounds lighter, 3 inches taller and both would have moved much better.
Andre's last match was on December 4, 1992 at Budokan Hall teaming with Giant Baba and Rusher Kimura against Haruka Eigen, Motoshi Okuma, and Masa Fuchi
Wow! This is really sad to see Andre struggling like that. You could tell that he was in a lot of pain. But like a real pro, he forged on! Rest in Peace Andre!
Yeah he did give it all he had, considering he was actually involved in this match quite a bit, when considering at WrestleMania VI two and half years before this he didn't get in the ring at all as the legal man in his match with Haku against Demolition.
Actually in late-90 as bad as he was, he could at least "work" (albeit somewhat cautiously) a couple minutes without needing to hold the ropes for balance. The footage of Andre from late 90 that I've seen showed him to be in similar shape to when he & Haku were a team. After that, with each passing tour in AJPW his condition steadily got worse, and really got bad as his weight balooned later in 1991 (he looked about 50lbs bigger in 12/91 than at WM7 the previous March).
Very sad... Andre couldn't even stand completely straight or very long without the aid of a rope or opponent.

Pretty funny that an almost dead Andre the Giant is still better than the Great Khali.

It's not funny at all. It's very sad on Khali's part.

Great clip of one of Andre's last matches! It's sad to watch to see his limited mobility but the guy was giving it his all to the end.
