  • @jimmy hayers...that's so true...Steve G is of course one of the best player in the world..couldn't agree more with Zizou

  • The first of many! YNWA!

  • Zinedine Zidane called him the best player in the world, who are we to argue with Zizou?

  • And so the legend begins.

  • He's not bad is he? ;)

  • damn and i thought gerrard was overrated!

  • Its all in his boots! Still wearing the same pair! Legend

  • Liverpool 4 life!!!Gerrard Legend

  • missing this straight forward football :/

  • amazing goal

  • we're happy for his first goal, but oh my god if he's last goal is coming soon, alot of tears will be involved :'(

  • @slipknotlovers89 alot of blood as well

  • @Donal277

care, all they want is bringing 'Kaka or 'Neymar'. Look at the Liverpool players who have moved to Chelsea; Benayoun (no more), Meireles and Torres. At Anfield they were treated like God's but at Chelsea they are treated like average players, they know that, especially Torres, I'm 100% sure he regrets leaving.

  • @christaldoseven Your over thinking players like torres, he wants money and he wants to win. I'm sure his only regret is that chelsea isn't doing as well as he thought they would. Look at all the teams Ronaldo played for, (Not C. Ronaldo, the good brazilian one) AC Milan, Inter Milan, Barcalona, Real Madrid and then some brazilian team.

  • @Donal277

Death threats? What a joke! But it's true, Gerrard did want to go to Chelsea and would have if his father wasn't there. His father advised him to stay at Liverpool and he listened. I know that Gerrard won't regret making that decision, he's matured up and his loyalty is discovered, look at the love and praise he gets from Liverpool fans. Chelsea can't do anything like that, look at your 'stars', Lampard and Drogba, both are unfavoured by your new manager and your fans don't seem to c

  • After this he decided its quicker to score from 25 yards than take on 2 players and score, lazy really haha

  • LEGEND

deserve the Ballon d'Or every fuckin' year imo

  • @terrytezbo1 Hey, Ur son is quite good!I notice he has developed the ability to play cutting in from the flanks early in life which is good.Look forward to seeing him play for ENGLAND!

  • Myself, My Wife, My Sister was at this game. Liverpool 4 Sheffield Wednesday 1. Wednesday scored first from a free kick then, Gerrard, Hypia, Murphy and Thompson scored :-)

  • nice

  • what a brilliant goal

  • He began career in Liverpool and he'll end it there. True player whom you gotta respect. Those are the players who truly love their club. They start and they end their careers in the same team. Not like Ince who switched from Manchester to Liverpool and Michael Owen from Liverpool to Machester

  • @TorresCarraGerrard That's true he's a legend and the best player ever. Last season he beat English record and he became the best and the greatnest English player ever

  • @TorresCarraGerrard - Owen didn't go from Liverpool to United. He went to Madrid, then Newcastle. Got hit by numerous injury problems and United picked him up on a free to squeeze out the last of his undeniable talent. If you want to talk about loyalty, look at Torres.

  • @Tommieb86 Who is Torres ?

  • @TorresCarraGerrard so loyal he only handed in 1 transfer request

  • @TorresCarraGerrard Conviently leaving out the part about agreeing to move to Chelsea for money until he got death threats from some LFC supporters.

Forgot to mention this...you know the part where he was set to join Chelsea?

  • @Donal277 but did he left? No. Stop being daft idiot..

  • @evilhafiz4 its leave* and im not being "daft". What i have said are well known and firmly estabished facts. That he stayed in the end was influenced by the threats. If he loved LFC as so many here claim then he would never have left for talks and agreed terms with CFC.

And you picked the wrong person to call an idiot. Lets compare.....

  • @Donal277 he loves LFC you idiot!!!!

  • @ianrushkingkenny Why did he agree to join Chelsea so?...

  • @Donal277 he didn't agree!!! that's why he plays for Liverpool!

  • @Donal277 wow i bet those "facts" you got are from the sun.

    Two reasons why he stayed:

    1. As the club had not asked him about extending his contract Gerrard thought that they didn't want him to stay. This misunderstanding was soon sorted out.

    2. More of a reason was that he a long talk with his father and decided that his ties with Liverpool FC and his family were were more important than moving to Chelsea.

  • he was 19 so.. 11 years ago

  • Liverpool's hero

  • @LFCXabiAlonsoStevieG he's absolutly hero

  • great first goal
