  • When I came back from Nam and stepped outside the gates of Camp Pendleton to join the protest in Oceanside during 1970. She was there to support us getting out of that horrible war.

  • Platipot. I feel sooooo sorry for you. What hurt you so bad that you have to so painful?

  • Where's the button to continually like this for eternity!?

  • Fist raised for the 99!

  • What an American hero! How lucky we are to have her as a part of our community.

  • Looks like she's using a cell phone system for tele prompting her speech...a better use of these corporate, slave devices I can't imagine.

  • Inspiring - true and affirming! But I can't help feeling the collective voice sounds like Life of Brian - - "you're all individuals"....

  • @nualamckee16 LOL!!!

  • Angela Davis is right with the Tao!

  • sweet black angel still relevant

  • Anyone have a transcript of this?

  • I totally disagree with Ms. Davis. She sounds and looks so damn co-opted, silly, and confused up there.

Huey and Hampton would be most disappointed.

All of these occupy this or that is about White ppl being upset because the very system that once catered to them has now turned on them. Non-White ppl (particularly Black ppl) should not get involved with this. You don't see any Native-Americans there, do you? And for damn good reason too. Because they know that this is White ppl's fight.

  • @mooncooninc83 Based on your name alone nothing you say can be taken seriously.

  • @rocatear3 My YouTube name has duel significance.

First meaning: It symbolizes the combination of the celestial (i.e. the moon/the divine), with that of the walking state of human degradation for which so-called Black ppl have been reduced to (i.e. coons), due to White ppl's centuries-long terroristic treatment of Black ppl on a local, national, and global level .

Second meaning: It also serves as a play on words (i.e. moon + cocoon = Mooncoon).

  • @mooncooninc83 actually, it isnt a white ppls fight. do more research or go yourself.

  • @rreeddppeenn Oh, but I have. For example, how's about YOU research "Occupy Philly Deals With Allegations of Racism" by Philadelphia Weekly.

This is just a new version of that "flower-child" bullshit from the 70s. Every couple of decades or so, you White ppl become MOMENTARILY disenchanted with your uncles, fathers, brothers, and nephews who're at the top of YOUR system, because they aren't sharing as much of the racist/White supremacist pie with you as you'd like them to.

  • @mooncooninc83 also... you kind of shot yourself in the foot there. that article clearly shows that a lot of people are involved, not just whites, and their voices are being heard.

  • @rreeddppeenn How did I shoot myself in the foot when the author of the article is specifically addressing how White ppl are mistreating Black ppl within this so-called movement? I don't think you read the article. Or, if you did, you obviously didn't comprehend it.

And I really could care less about White ppl getting angry over non-White ppl calling them out on their seemingly innate racist tendencies.

  • @mooncooninc83 so, coming from your standpoint, only white people are speaking and being a part of this? that theyre excluding every other race? thats profound ignorance coming from an extremely biased standpoint. my point was that there wouldnt have been that article if people werent taking notice... and being such a large movement, of course some racists are going to be involved. so some people got called niggers. is that anything new? cry me a river.

  • @rreeddppeenn "so some people got called niggers. is that anything new? cry me a river" Not surprising you'd make such a comment. You're pretending to be all about justice. Yet, you clearly don't give a damn when injustices are being administered by Whites who claim to be about producing justice for everyone. White ppl (i.e. racists/White supremacists/victimizers) love to portray their victims as being the victimizers so that ppl will not focus on their mistreatment of non-White ppl.

  • @mooncooninc83 lol. you continually fail to see my point. stop being so angry and calling every white person a racist/white supremacist. how am i portraying the victims as being the "victimizers"? i just said it happens every day, and youre acting like its the first time this ever happened. and assuming that i "dont give a damn" about injustices... lawl. where are you coming from?

oh, also, i posted 2 more responses and i want you to say something about them. your frustration makes me giggle

  • @rreeddppeenn "my point was that there wouldnt have been that article if people werent taking notice" which, is to say that you don't agree that non-White victims of injustice, within a movement that professes to be about justice, who experience mistreatment because they're non-White, shouldn't recognize their mistreatment. Which is to say that if the victims had not been a victim they wouldn't have had anything to write about. Which, is a way of blaming the victim and not the victimizer.

  • Comment removed

  • @rreeddppeenn "i posted 2 more responses and i want you to say something about them. your frustration makes me giggle" You really think I'm responding to you, a suspected racist/White supremacist, out of some desire to make you recognize that you are, indeed, a racist/White supremacist? LOL!

I respond to those comments I CHOOSE in hopes that a non-White person will view our comments and see just how much you White ppl have refined your techniques of practicing racism/White supremacy.

  • @mooncooninc83 btw, addyfiona owned you. hard.

  • @mooncooninc83 your thinking that black people have no voice in this and/or that they arent taking part in the movement is astonishingly dim. white people mistreat black people every day, its not like this movement isnt going to see some of that. but to think its a white movement because of that? thats idiotic.

  • @mooncooninc83 first, fuck off with your [hypocritical] racist remarks. not all white people have some connection to the top, nor are all white people fortunate enough to have even middle-class income. white people are considered racist all the time--not without reason, because some are and just like everything else a small percentage of assholes ruin it for everyone. but then again, white people also have to deal with everyone else hating them, too.

  • @rreeddppeenn "fuck off with your [hypocritical] racist remarks"

Racism = Power to control/dominate/subjugate another group of ppl in all areas of human activity (i.e. entertainment, education, labor, politics, law, religion, sex, war, and economics). Only ppl who've classified themselves as White have the POWER to be racist against those whom they've classified as non-White.

  • @mooncooninc83 yet another dumb statement. anyone can be racist you fool

  • @rreeddppeenn "not all white people have some connection to the top, nor are all white people fortunate enough to have even middle-class income"

So what exactly is that supposed to be tantamount to?

Even a poor White person still has more collective POWER (i.e. influence, representation, global appeal etc) than a rich non-White person.

  • @mooncooninc83 your opinions are biased coming from a completely non-white stand point. do not neglect the fact that "black" isn't the only thing thats received hate from in this world. try comprehending that religion has also been a problem, "jews", as well as cultural differences, the tutsis & hutus ect, not to mention general struggles w/ womens rights. noone is guilt free, not even you, & fighting hate & racism w/ hate & racism puts you in the same category as the people you despise.

  • @addyfiona "coming from a completely non-white stand point" Well, duh! That's largely how we, as non-White ppl, are able to survive in a racist/White supremacist world. We HAVE to see the angles of reality that your privilege allows you NOT to see. "'black' isn't the only thing thats received hate" When did I ever dispute that fact in ANY of my comments? In fact, that's the heart of my comments: That ALL non-White ppl have endured terroristic mistreatment from White ppl globally for centuries.

  • @addyfiona "try comprehending that religion has also been a problem, "jews", as well as cultural differences, the tutsis & hutus ect, not to mention general struggles w/ womens rights" You really need to take your own advice. Because if YOU truly comprehended the global problem (which, IS White ppl), then you'd overstand that in every single conflict you mentioned, White ppl not only financed those conflicts, supplied the means for those conflicts, but also initiated ALL those conflicts.

  • @mooncooninc83 but also the global problem is white people? the global problem is racism. and you are it. now im not denying that there are white racists, but while I may be half white, I am not racist & it's offensive for you to call me a problem.

  • @addyfiona "I may be half white, I am not racist & it's offensive for you to call me a problem" One question: Do you think that If you and your "half-Whiteness" comes into contact with a police officer who's classified as White, they will take your "half-Whiteness" into consideration? I suspect that White police officer will treat you like the non-White person you are. All that half this and that crap are just terms that are meant to confuse ppl. You're either White or you're non-White.

  • @addyfiona "the global problem is racism. and you are it" Racism/White supremacy is a global system setup up by ppl who've CLASSIFIED THEMSELVES as White for the purpose of mistreating/subjugating ppl whom THEY'VE CLASSIFIED as non-White, in all areas of human activity (i.e. entertainment, education, labor, politics, law, religion, sex, war, and economics), throughout the known uni-verse.

You see, I CAN'T practice true racism. Why? Because I lack the POWER to do so.

    Racism IS POWER.

  • @addyfiona

    I hate White ppl?

    No.

    I just don't trust you.

"noone is guilt free" In any conflict that Whites have amongst yourselves, you won't find a non-White provoker of that conflict who also benefits from that conflict. However, in EVERY SINGLE non-White conflict, we find White ppl at the center of it. So no, non-White ppl haven't done ANYTHING, in the history of this planet, that could ever match the level of unprovoked wickedness, rape, murder, theft, and deceit of White ppl.

  • @mooncooninc83 I don't believe that's true. but you obviously have your opinions and I have mine and we can just keep it at that.

  • @mooncooninc83 "Every couple of decades or so, you White ppl become MOMENTARILY disenchanted with [those] who're at the top of YOUR system, because they aren't sharing as much of the racist/White supremacist pie with you as you'd like them to." so because some white people happen to be the 1% (but theyre not all white, let me tell you), non-1% white people are racist/white supremacist? come on man youre killing me. this is the most illogical argument youve made yet.

  • @rreeddppeenn "so because some white people happen to be the 1% (but theyre not all white" Why did you use the word "happen"? That suggests that White ppl's centuries-long domination/subjugation/destruction of the world is a thing that just "happened" by chance and not via a concentrated effort which, is far from the truth. Non-White ppl in seats of global influence are placed in those positions and removed from those positions by White ppl.

  • @mooncooninc83 by the way, use guns, germs and steel as a diving board from your close-minded perspective

  • @mooncooninc83 I'm afraid that the extremity of your beliefs will do more damage than good in the society or world that you wish to change. Have your beliefs but don't be naive to the fact that your beliefs are of a biased nature and focus on skin color. Which I assumed was something that you were trying to fight, racial divide. However you obsessing over "white people" seems hypocritical.

  • @addyfiona "the extremity of your beliefs will do more damage than good in the society or world" That's like saying that I, as a non-White person, who's using non-White dialogue to bare witness to the depth of the mistreatment that the global system of racism/White supremacy has been manifesting on non-White ppl for centuries, is somehow more of a problem than the actual system itself. Now THAT'S an extreme and confused belief.

Stop seeking White validation w/your comments.

  • @addyfiona "your beliefs are of a biased nature and FOCUS on skin color" Your grasp on reality is clearly distorted. Keep in mind that non-White ppl HAVE to be mindful of our color to survive in a world that WHITE ppl created and dominate. Also, it was White ppl who CLASSIFIED THEMSELVES as "White", and who also created the concept of race. As a person who's been classified as non-White, I, unlike White ppl, lack the power to be able to create and ENFORCE any classification that I may create.

  • @mooncooninc83 it's clear that you are not open to alternative views, I don't appreciate your interpretations of my thoughts, but thats all it is, an interpretation, that does not make you right. we should stop discussing this because we're just going to talk in circles and its exhausting! we will never see eye to eye and thats OK. I can deal with that. haha.

  • @addyfiona "you are not open to alternative views" If by "alternative views" you mean a view that calls for the denial of the full reality of the global context of racism/White supremacy for which we ALL live in, then you're absolutely right...I'm not open to it. And it's clear that by saying "it's exhausting" you mean that you've exhausted the usefulness of the White-identified terms, phrases, and/or dialectics that you've received from White ppl to discuss racism/White supremacy.

  • @addyfiona "we will never see eye to eye and thats OK. I can deal with that. haha" I totally agree. The only thing that I can suggest you do to help you, as a non-White person, combat your White-identification and anti-Blackness which, we've ALL been programmed with, is to check out the cowsclips on YouTube or checkout The C.O.W.S. @ talkshoe.com.

  • @mooncooninc83 I will. :)

  • @addyfiona "However you obsessing over "white people" seems hypocritical" I translate that as merely meaning that you're afraid to truly focus on why White ppl do what they do to non-White ppl on a global scale because you're afraid of loosing your White validation.
