i would love it if they sold them here in australia i saw one that was imported and i just jizzed my patns the only thing here is shitty jap cars they think toyota are the best off road if you did this to a toyota it would be fucked
Hey Yellowcow13, Until you take the Raptor out for an offroad test drive, don't say bad things about it. You don't know what the hell you're talking about, so do us all a favor and SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!! Hey Jay500500500, in response to your comment about Ford and GM's 6.2 liter engines, you are right on the money with that one.
dodges suck they do the trucks are built to a price so crisler can put rebates on them to get them out the door. F-150s have the feeling of older benzes over built not just over powered the ford feels over engineered and it shows in all of the trucks ive runacross the F-150 owners ive met say theres not much to complain about and have served them well under harsh conditions look at the electricity company or oil riggers in alaska they drive fords because under the worst conditions they last
i own an f150 and my brothers got an 09 ram yea its a nice truck but the new HEMIS arent even Hemis no hemisphericle heads there. just a high out put renamed magnum
well as far as high mileage chrysler engines go, i can personaly attest that i had a used 86 jeep comanche with the 4.0 that had 435,000 or so miles on it that still ran well, although it leaked fluids outa nearly every gasket. but it just wouldnt die... the only other kinda vecicle ive ever seen with that kinda mileage was a diesel
I agree with Jay500500500, GM has the street, Ford has the dirt. Great companies, know what their doing, and have reliable products. Dodge, Toyota, Nissan and other wannabe's really need to find another hobby. Be like Honda and go to lawn mowers! Ford's Raptor rocks, by the way. FTW
Imo,You can buy a cheap low end base model construction model truck such as Ford F-150, Nissan Titan, Chevy Silverado, and pay a fabricator half the cost of a full price Ford Craptor, and get your own style prerunner and way more travel and it just look way better anyway..But if your that guy that wants it now! The showroom floor is your deal go run to your dealer and get raped..
GM's 6.2 and Ford's 6.2 own. everyone should shut up. If you can't afford it that's to bad. This truck is MEANT to drive offroad. the paint wont chip, the engine won't break, the chassis will remain fine. Ford knows what they're doing. GM already claims the street, so instead of being dumbasses like Dodge, Toyota and Nissan, they built an offroad truck with the same engine performance. This will result in basically a 50/50 split of GM and Ford truck owners. Both smart companies.
For the 99% of us who don't live in Baja or Southwest, the raptor is absolutely pointless. Desert trucks are a micro-niche in the truck market, and totally useless on the street or in a heavy-duty towing roll. The 05-2010 Ram powerwagon has what a true off-roader wants... GEARS, LOCKERS, suspension articulation, towing capacity, torque, payload, flexibility, practicality, value. If you'rea wanna-be baja racer then the Raptor is for you; otherwise you're showing off skills you dont have.
the HEMI owns on torque but GM owns on HP, the HEMI is a bulletproof engine, reliable as fuck, way more reliable than my pussy tritons, and the new HEMI will have over 450 HP, once again the competition is none, I own all three brands and I really have to rep Dodge because over the years they've held up the best, we have a couple with 400-600K lol still chuggin!
The Hemi more reliable than a Triton? Haha, I know of TONS of 300,000+ mile Tritons, every Hemi I see with over 100,000 miles sounds like a coffee can full of marbles at idle. The Hemis are known oil burners, piston slappers, have problems with VDS, problems with broken valve springs, and flat out just don't run well with high mileage.
Nice pussy you know TONS of Tritons with over 300K, well buddy I fuckin own Tritons so how are you gonna argue with me? We have one with 200 something but not without repairs. I get salty when I think of how much money Ford has cost the company in repairs, we continue to buy Dodges and GMs no more Fords.
HATER HATER HATER HATER HATER HATER HATER HATER HATER HATER HATER HATER HATER dude accept the fact that ford trucks are the best thats why they are the best selling trucks for 33 years running and dodge and how about chevy not even close.. u r just a hater
Ford sells the most because theyre the cheapest and most available, everyone knows that. but you get what you pay for. My fords have been unreliable unfortunately
thats what you say i have a 2003 ford f150 and i tell you one thing it feels better than the new ram i test drove one i was shock on cheap everything feels in that truck.
lol yeah right buddy thats false. I also have a 2003 F150 and it doesn't even drive as well as my 90's Rams. lol I've taken my 2003+ F150s off road and my 90s Rams fuckin kicks their ass every time. Also the Rams have a better turning ratio than the Fords, thats a fact. Dodges rack and ping steering is rated the best around. lol and you want to talk cheap? lol dude my Fords drive cheap, they just feel cheap from the ride to the cheap plastic.
No, sorry but they don't fuckin dip shit. I've bought A LOT of Fords over the years, and out of GM and Dodge, theyre the cheapest, but you get what you pay for with Ford, and thats K mart cheap bullshit. Our Fords have been hell, we stopped buying them in 2008, still buying GMs and Dodges.
@trvdot mplstorm is a counter ford advocate on all ford videos. he is here to make an ass of himself and talk shit about ford. dont bother, he is getting his job done if you respond to him.
$40,000 is easily reached if you modify a new or slightly used truck. And it will never match the Raptor. A loaded SuperDuty will cost you 50k new and an F150 40k.
It has been years since I have a seen such a cool new vehicle. The industry got really boring for a while.
Haven't seen much advertising for it, perhaps they're concerned with the "green" thing.
i love this truck... you know enterprise needs to get some and i would be all over it...i would buy one of these if i could..i haven't seen any advertising except magazines and such.. i saw one the other day at a dealership where i live,.. it was 46,000 with the 5.4... which i know they are getting a premium
Yeah, I would not give a dealer 46K for it, especially since the 6.2's are right around the corner (I don't' think they're out yet?).
I love your idea, though I doubt they will ever do such a thing. The suspension is probably too expensive for upkeep. Hertz has always done the Shelby's, but all those parts have been around forever, the Raptor uses quite a few proprietary parts.
No doubt the Raptor will be a vehicle that children put on their walls. It's just cool. Ha
my new raptor(i got one) has a 6 year waranty on al parts, including the shcoks and suspension. ford says the fox shocks wont need to be replaced for 10 years, at 8 grand a set
the thing thats different about that is.... THE TRUCK WAS MADE FOR IT ! so dont complain ppl spend fifty k on a truck that can only stay on road, and thats why you would say that. but ide rather spend ten less on a truck made to derstroy both, with out damage.
what a lame off road test, even a camry can run on that kind of road. Watch the land cruiser off road test, that is what you can call the real off road.
@FordGarbage yea 20 years ago trucks didnt have much of an interior to rattle the dash was a metal piece with not much on it tha doors had a paper thin cover over them the seat was a park bench so what could rattle the driver bones and his change maybe
i totally agree with phazer. i could fucking destroy this thing in a month. there is no way long term, this is going to hold up. These things will always be breaking due to all the abuse day in and day out
i bet not. i had an 84 ford ranger that went through my older brother, me, and my younger brother who all beat the ever livin crap out of and it never broke on any of us...not once. we did have some carb problems...but that's to be expected. other than that it held up amazing. ford FTW
only thing that was modified was a different tune setup on the 6.2L engine, same engine just tuned differently, and added safety features which of course you need lol, and it had a little bit more suspension travel, which were the same shocks, just setup differently, i read an article about it in a magazine
O ok. Well i diddnt read about it, I just heard about it from a friend. Im not biased though towards any company, they all have there ups and downs. I drive a 05 power wagon, but i love the raptor. They are both great trucks.
