I think he's a great singer and seems like a really nice guy but when I see him I don't think Gabe. He kind of looks too old. That doesn't mean I don't admire him as a performer so hold the hate comments.

This is good. Great singing, obvious energy, but he doesn't try too hard to channel that energy into physicality. I like that, because when there's to much emphatic movement I always find it a sort of melodramatic distraction, though many people seem to think that that's what good "acting" is in musicals. This guy moves, but doesn't flail or jerk around. He finds the right balance, and that's a big breath of fresh air.

At best, I've seen this guy make a few seductive faces amidst a kind of dorky vibe. But I would at least be willing to see a clip of him live before I really judged. I can tell the piano threw him off.

Come on, the pianist was not that bad ! Really, he/she makes no mistakes, and if you pay close attention, he starts off slower than normal and the singer is the one who gradually speeds up 0:18 -0:27 xD My only complaint is that the accompaniment sounds a bit mechanical, like a midi... Other than that, beautiful song, amazing performance!

However, the pianist is distracting and seems to be fighting the tempo quite a bit. It's sad when an accompanist detracts from a performance rather than adding an extra layer of artistry to the vocalist's portrayal.

@jeremywilliams2010 He was flat and sharp a lot by the tiniest bit though, i cant imagine how he would sound doing the part while moving around on that stage. running and jumping around tends to make you slip a lot more.

to be clear the piano wasn't 'horrible' it was just on the wrong beat, which made it totally off - he did play well... but it just made it... wrong.

timothy has a great voice though and it showed even though the piano was off. amazing falsetto and amazing strength with those high notes.

I just saw him on January 8th and he was phenomenal. I was bummed to see that Tim Young was playing the role, but after "Just Another Day," I did not have any upset feeling. The entire cast was phenomenal...and Tim Young live is just hot and amazing! Next to Normal is THE show to see!!!!

My son Joey had been contacted to play Gabe in the upcoming years and has met him in person. this video is just bad quality, and doesnt fully show the extent of what Tim can do. I mean, guys he is on broadway, no one should judge someone who has already made it.

I saw Tim Young as Gabe Tuesday, Oct 6. I was very impressed with his voice! This video does not do him justice!! As far as embodying Gabe, he definitely did a phenominal job doing it in the show!! I'm sure it's hard to go all out with character in a cabaret setting. Overall, a good job as Gabe! Was not disappointed!

It's not bad by any means.. it's actually really good.. especially for the firth two minutes. And from 2:28 - 2:36, it's really breath taking what he does with that note. But, it seems that after that, he kinda falls in love with his voice, and starts to get rocky and fall flat towards the end. Still, a really nice performance. I don't know if it's as good as Aaron or Kyle, but good nonetheless.

I saw Timothy as Gabe yesterday and he completely blew me without away with his FANTASTIC acting. I liked him even better than Aaron. It was a completely different take on the character and spun the entire show in another direction that worked jsut as well if not better than when Aaron is playing Gabe.

i think it's coz he isn't as like-able as Aaron. and his voice is really raspy through the entire song. It sounds like he has just been sick and is still recovering. And he has a slightly lazy accent, so some notes fall flat.

He is great, but I believe he is still recovering from illness - can't help that. :)
