If Alec is talking to Lara before the war when the dam was under construction the first time then she should be in her late teens but why would Alec speak of the terror as though it had finished. Alternatively if it is in the 1950s after the thaw - which seems more likely - then surely she should be much older and he long since retired.

That mean, that if it will not snow/rain enough, in 8-9 years from now=close Las Vegas. Big problems for Arizona and California. Is that the truth?
