@ReconMotokoKusanagi i used audacity to do this since all i had to do was change the tempo, pitch, and shift things around, but most mashups are probably made in the programs you're talking about. in the newer mashup i used this program Anytime for the tempo change and the pitch change using formant correction, which makes her voice sound normal. actually i asked dj earworm (the guy who does the top 25 billboard hits mashups) how to do that and he recommended formant correction with ableton live

i dont think ur entirely thinkin this through...it would lose 2 much, since it is techno and the vocals only come 2gether at the end. if they were 2 come 2gether at other times, the song would lose its sense of climax. im sure u think it seems 2 clash a bit, but ur probably just focusing on that possible aspect 2 much and making it seem more dramatic than it is

yea i know its pretty ridiculous how it sounds good after just laying the sections that r curiously of equal length on top of each other directly...this is essentially the awesome observation that gave me the idea to try this :) first i did it on piano (made a video of that 2) and all of the notes that land on each other from the 2 songs work out harmoniously

in all honesty, im generally not a huge fan of mashups, but this worked pretty well. i wasnt sure how the song selection was gonna work together, and i agree with barrtender, but it was a better mix than i was expecting. i liked the blue instrumentals behind cascada singing
