  • Nice! Thinking of adding another graphics card to my rig just so I can run Octane (damn ATI cards for not being supported). Does the GTX 260 run well for presentation-size (i.e. physical poster) renders, with glass and lighting effects? Any cons you can think of?

  • FAKE!! It's not a render it's a real life)

  • @DurakMax You really need an eye doctor appointment if you se so many artifacts :) but have to admit render is really realistic

  • AMAZING!

  • Looks great, I wish there was less noise!

  • beautiful job, I wanted to ask if this animation how long render?

  • Get the ATI Radeon HD 6990, it's better than your graphics card and pretty cheap for such a high end monster. Or if you want the main and explicit ones, ATI Radeon HD 5770 is a cracking choice.

  • @Rollersteaam Octane does not work with ATI GPUs. No CUDA.

  • @Flodice Yeah, guess I should of actually done my homework. To be honest, I'm not really that fluent in GPU's, need to learn more about them. Right now I'm just banging rocks together and hoping what's best.

  • About 40 seconds on my Gtx 260 . New GPU's inbound.

  • @Sixthlaw 40 seconds per frame or whole animation?

  • @The3dsGeek Per frame :)

  • @Sixthlaw even though it's unintended its got film noise so its just like real life ;)

  • how long was the render for each frame?

  • That's really really good. Love the architecture! =)
