ok need a little help hope someone can reply i have a 2007 Harley street glide with the 96 cubic inch motor and a six speed trans got my bike out the other day. and got on the throttle and just sounded like my clutch or primary chain is messed up has anyone had that happen before and can someone give me some answers or what to do?
That's a good guide, but be sure to warm the bike engine a little before draining as this will help in getting the old oil & dirt out. Also, open the inspection cover on the primary drive (the smaller one), pull the dipstick out, & unscrew the gearbox filler/level plug to allow the oil to drain freely. Air in = oil out. Using new 'O' rings and a thread locker is not always required. My knowledge is 22 years riding & servicing Harleys. Engineer by trade.

@whb1965 Yeah, but I like to do as much as I can myself-I find working on your own gear and not relying on other people quite empowering-cheers Rob.
