DEMCAD food is important but I think Guns are one of the greatest investments EVER. You can protect yourself and in many states you can GET YOUR OWN FOOD i.e. hunting. If the economy collapses ammo will become like a new currency. Ammo has done nothing but go up. If you store ammo in ammo cans it will outlast your kids. I would say if you don't have one get a gun dude, and a lot of ammo.
@longhairsRcool Well by some of your vids I see you are storing ammo. If you have/haven't I would suggest ammo cans. Ammo will keep a long time without ammo cans years don't get me wrong but for 10 dollars or LESS you can get some cheap air-tight ammo cans (I use them) and ammo really doesn't expire in those.
It gets called conspiracy because they are in total denial by programming! What are you gonna do? When they come begging for help you'll have to decide right then and there what you are going to do about it.
Learning to be self sustaining - growing food, storing food, becoming more energy independent because you see more personal responsibility in our future is not crazy. It's when you start barricading you door for UN troops, attaching a gun tower to your house and telling people they are going to be taken away to camps to be killed are the ones who are crazy. The problem is those crazy people try to lump themselves in with us who are balanced and see the real writing on the wall. SUSTAINABILITY.
I'm storing some food and saving money but don't see a reason to get a gun or ammo. I couldn't kill someone to save some food or other item and 'they' would probably come when I am asleep and steal the gun anyway. I'm in Australia and noone really has guns here except the police.
I know a guy who has one, yeah it's a LOT, a stupendously huge amount of red tape to get one, but it's possible, you have to have a relative who has a large paddock or something, and might possibly need a gun at some point in the future, to kill injured live stock or a wild animal or something, but the guy I know keeps his gun at his house in suburbia, so yeah you can get around it with enough time and effort.
I'm buying $150+ a month in medium to long (5 years)term non-perishable items...I want to have 6+ months saved by March, and 1 years worth by June-July. I hope to use it to supplement what food I can get..(if it gets that bad) so it lasts 2-3 years...it's not crazy...like you said..you can always eat it...
i canned apples this fall...apple butter too...it was an excellent year for fruit...buying canned goods seems to be best idea though...long shelf life...no need for water or other additives..you can eat them cold...and little waste if there is more than 1 person in the house hold..im shying away from frozen right now...im leary of power outages to control civil unrest...if that doesnt occur early on i will start loading up the freezers...
I spent the last 7 years making major cut backs to keep my business functioning. Even so, every year i was falling 10% behind until eventual bankruptcy. How do you prepare for an emergency under those conditions? In the supermarket, i look at spaghetti on special at $1 per box, ...should I buy a case?
That's a real drag about your business. That's got to be a major heartbreak. The only thing I can suggest is to learn to cook whole grains and start using beans. Often an entire week goes by without my eating any meat. I bake my own bread and if you can grind your own flour, you can store wheat for a long time and it's less expensive and better for you than white flour.
Also get rid of as much debt as possible and look into sharing housing if you're single.
You know, I've observed in this world two general types of people. Those that go about the mundane tasks of everyday living and rely on the government structures and charities to provide for personal and public disaster situations. Those that take everything a little differently as they go about the mundane tasks of life and spend the money, time and storage space to back themselves up independent of the government structures. Either group is crazy, which depends on where you fit.
even if im crazy...i want to get off the grid and free from the government and utility companies as much as possible...i want as much freedom as possible...
8 year old! uh, oh. Well I will look into the breeder you recomended. I am starting with the AKC and get several of the highly recomended ones. I am definitly going to do my research and go to a very good breeder and compare. The last thing I want is an unsound dog. Mostly I want to scare.
as i said in the previous comment i live in new york city(manhattan). i'm scared because i know it's going to be hard when the shtf but it is very difficult to leave the city and a gun is out of the question so i have been preparing in different ways. i changed the locks on my door of my apartment. i also placed several deadbolts and a gate on my fire escape window. i hope that i can depend on that. i hope it won't come to that.
Are you working toward your goal of having well trained dobermans or is it just something you're thinking about? Whatever goal you choose, it's important to take a few steps toward it every week, otherwise it's not a goal, it's just a dream.
I think a smaller 9mm pistol is a lot cheaper and less time consuming to maintain than a pack of dobermans. Less chance of misfire too. A dog is useful as an alarm system though.
I also bought a tazer. I'm trying to get enough nads to try it out on myself.
I have a german shepard, male for property protection, 2 female red doberman to protect my kids and 2 pitbulls for attack dogs..main thing is make sure they come from good breeders...thats makes all the difference...a barking dog is as good as a gaurd dog if you have a 12gage pump shot gun loaded with double 0 and turkey load..you dont need a rifle..or hand gun..too dangerous..you can shoot through several walls and kill your family or neighbors..12 gage shot guns are best for in home protection
true..thats why i recomend heavy shot...limits the range...and power to a room or two...00 or 000 and turkey load will really mess someone up..even blow their head off but arent likely to penetrate more than 3 sheets of drywall before it loses most of its power....slugs are only good for about 50 yards...physics/muzzle volocity...and gravity...I prefer a gun for home protection i dont plan on going to the streets for warfare...thats why i recommend a 12 gage..and that racking sound...priceless
@baileyg71 First of all from the law as I understand it isn't 100% illegal even in NY city to own a gun. This is something I've studied a lot of i.e. gun laws. Rifles I believe ARE legal if they are in your place of residents like a shotgun with the retarded 250 dollar tax per gun NY city has. Another thing you could do is buy a gun in Connecticut they have very LAX gun laws there and you could store the guns there like in storage, the edge of Connecticut is only 45 minutes away from NY NY
Just a reminder to those of you planning a garden in the spring, seeds will be arriving in the stores as soon as xmas is over...be ready to buy immediately...dont forget to purchase enough for next year, put the seeds in an airtight container and place in a cool dark place to keep them viable so germination rates will remain high. New to gardening msg me with questions..ill be happy to help you.
lots of folks forget that early in the season you can plant letus and at the end of the growing season you can plant turnips and other greens...we had greens till this week and will have turnips the rest of the winter till i turn the garden in late feb...if you dont have a garden you can broadcast turnip seeds in you yard and they will grow all fall and untill you have several heavy freezes and the turnips continue to grow all winter unless you live in an extremely cold climate...
Only one of my friends although none of my family heeded any of my advice and information. Of course many of them are going to continue to lose money in the markets and they're only now trying to understand the dawning of the new America at hand. Oh, and I was never a very strong advocate of the second amendment until about a year ago. That's for 2 reasons, crime is going up where I live and the original intentions of why the amendment was written has never been more pertinent to me.
Im a youtube crazy! But i have convinced my dad that bad things are here...he wouldnt believe me all spring by the end of summer he was a believer...you have to understand...my dad has a 10 th grade education and more money than i will ever see...he is truely a self-made person...youngest of 13 kids, orphaned by age 10 and raised by an alcoholic brother inlaw and sister. What helped me was giving him predictions made by Vision and the LEAPS/GEAB/2020 reports...Now he is getting out of dollars.
leap2020 is amazing.i look forward to the 16th of every month. i got one of my sisters into it. there is more news in that one paper than all the us news combined. now if we can only convince people to read more instead of watching inane "reality" tv we'd would really make a dent.
i live in new york city and i work with a bunch of women who buys prada shoes and gucci handbags but have an empty frige at home. the other day i overheard them laughing about me for "trying to scare them" with all my talk about the economy. this is the world we have been living in. a world so superficial it bogles the mind. is it worth trying to educate those that do not care or want to think past their next tall caramel machiatto?it is all absurd
I bought a 51 inch HD tv from a guy a month ago...1 yr old...for 150 dollars...deals are showing up everywhere...I needed a new tv but wasnt about to pay full price for one...i waited and low and behold...a deal showed up...Same thing is happening in all durables cash is king right now...later food will be...
i bought it for my kids to watch vids on...i dont watch tv myself...but i bought my kids the complete Waltons series, and little house on the praire...shows that advocate doing for yourself, being honest and working hard...
I hear you. Im starting to wonder if im from another planet or if the people i know are...i feel so estranged from their world...and often wonder how I ever participated in the fraud they call life...distraction from a life... I walk through a store and rarely see anything i really want...i look at fishing poles and coveralls and garden tools..Last year 1 billion dollars was spent on RINGTONES is that not the most absurd thing youve ever heard..while 35000 children starve to death every day
If the prices keep going up on food and essentials and we lose our incomes, at least we can exist more comfortable. You are so right to put it this way. People used to prepare and fend for themselves more. It was a shame if you got to far down on your luck. Yes, we used to not get out of season food from california & chile. Cuba went through this and was able to create local food in backyards. It saved them! I know we're not crazy. It's becoming self-evident everyday & nobody is laughing!
OH YA... I just told my friends the other day that I was storing up food, water and ammo and I started a garden and they laughed at me and told me I was crazy. Even if the world doesnt collapse the food and water will be used. The ammo will be used eventually. But they thought I was stupid.
i have come to the conclusion that if our family and friends havent gotten a clue by now we had better quit warning them...unless we have prepared to take care of them too...those who know you are prepared will be the ones kicking down your door when the SHTF...best to act stupid from now on out...prepare in secrete

Buying a gun reinforces the second amendment.
Why? Because it gets more difficult for the government to get the guns back once they're in circulation.

I'm sure that the criminals will have guns.
