@fleety419 actually, ska originated in the late 1950's in Jamaica, and it precursored both reggae AND rocksteady (very very little known fact). rock n roll was being transmitted to Jamaica VIA radio from the mainland, but the signal was so weak, it came across in pulses. Jamaicans thought that was just how it was supposed to sound, and when describing it used the term "skat - skat - skat" to describe the upstrokes on the guitar.
the ska you speak of is the 2 tone (2nd wave)movement in the UK.
To be honest its good but i would prefer the original version theres nothing like laying back and listening to the wailers on vinal after a long day of work. theres nothing like them especially Sean Kingston!!!
good xit!! but this isnt punk though it just says says punk cause theres a distortion but that dat doesnt make it punk!!!! just saying!!!^_^ as all bob marley fan knows ONE LOVE!!!
I've listened to this guy's track's many time's, To be honest there absolutley faultless. Woman no cry is a classic but the remake just show's what a superb track it still can be with a little bit of imagination. Superb! steve phx walsall
man fuck, everysingle cover by you guys i listen to just keeps getting better and better, is this album available anywhere? (online or music dealer)

Punk has strong roots in reggae - take a listen to the Clash's "White Man in Hammersmith Palais", which predates the concept of 'ska'.

i like this very much. Truly fantastic reworking of a classic. Why not attempt a version of police and thieves or white man?
