I saw one of these Golden Hawks at the Trenton Airshow in 09 while posted there on tasking, C-17 Globemasters, C-18s, NOTHING compared to the beauty of the F86 Sabre!!
@justforever96 My dad was in the 45th FIS based at Sidi Slimane AB in French Morocco. He was there in 1954-55. Sidi was one of three SAC bases in North Africa. It was the height of the Cold War, and the pilots of the 45th went on what they called "Bear patrols" along the Moroccan coastline looking out for any Russian bombers that had less than desirable intentions. I have a slide-show video of the squadron on You Tube.
Sometimes when they put like a corporate logo is to thank them for probably like a donation to keep the plane flying like paying for fuel or etc. The paint is from 1959, 1962 and 1963 RCAF Golden Hawks display teams.
them planes are AWSOME!!!! its AMAZING to see what could be done with a plane during a time when air conditioning and power windows in a car were almost non Existant!!!! someone correct me if im wrong, but were these the birds flying during the Korean war??
The paint job? really? Does everything have to have a corporate logo on it? Also cut the music and lets hear the engines. However the photography was excellent!
Could you guys paint the plane.....something like....I don't know...what it looked like in Korea as a military plane? Something isn't right about that paint job.
Wow!!! Really cool shots from the inside of the cockpit. :) No wonder you do what you do.....It was great being able to see you in North Bay this week. What a super airshow...enjoyed every minute of it.

My uncle flew the F-86 in Korea and my dad flew it in North Africa. The plane has been the favorite for many pilots. Great video!

@IRONSEAN7 Yes, the F-86 Sabre was the top fighter during the Korean War. My uncle flew the bird in Korea. He said it was a joy to fly.
