Forcing 60gig caps on it's customers and wholesale customers, as well as throtteling certain types fo internet traffic such as P2P, and using DPI (deep Packet Inspection)technology, that allows them to look at everything you are sending and receiving on the internet, (like the government opening and reading all your mail).

Right now you can not get internet service in Canada that is not throttled when using P2P down to 30kb/s (.3Mb/s). It is complete BS, and even though the smaller ISP's have tried to fight this, Bell is still allowed

Ok so this is what happened. European Parliament was voting on an amendment that would give ISPs the power to slow down or block any site they want on the internet. This would mean that rich websites would have very fast bandwidth where as other sites that couldn't afford to pay big money to ISPs (such as wikipedia) would be slowed down. The members of Ipower got together and made a massive effort to convince the members of parliament to reject the amendment. And it looks like we won :P

What they're talking about is net neutrality -- right now, internet providers don't have the right to pick and choose what websites you can access. If they did, they could essentially only allow you to use websites THEY want you to (or are paid to make you use). Providers were lobbying for it in Europe a few days back and failed hardcore.
